You would think that would be newsworthy. Maybe Butch and company are so active that the VQ staff is focusing more on that. I don't know.

Why is Selby hanging out in Knoxville? I know he almost committed to UT, but is he working with a trainer out there or something?

All they know is he visited one of those 2 days...if someone came out and said, Barton visited Thursday, then there would be an issue. However, the dead period started Thursday, so it aligns with what the reports are that he visited one of those days...most likely Wednesday seeing as how the dead period started Thursday.

Your initial post seem to be trying to infer there was a violation if these reports were accurate, my point was there isn't a report out there saying he visited Thursday, they're saying it was one of those days.

You're just an interesting character: You'll make a huge deal out of an anonymous poster saying he knows Shannon Hale and that hale is coming to UT, so much so that Hale's father has to make a public statement to squash the rumors started by you and said poster.

But you want strict proof of a report that Barton was on Knoxville's campus on Thursday with Selby, despite the fact that you know:

A. That it was reported by multiple sources that Barton was on campus Wednesday or Thursday.
B. That Barton and Selby are cousins (or you should've known this, everyone else does); and
C. Selby was hanging around campus recently.

Which is more believable?

BTO did not start the Shannon Hale rumors with that poster.

Hmmmm...well the guy on VQ who was postin about golden long before anyone just said Barton to A&M. He has connections to the basketball program and I put about 90% certainty in things he posts related to the BB program.

He followed up with this though..."Jordan Johnson, JUCO PG, remember the name...says we are going after him"

Poster later on posted this..."Very intriguing prospect. On film from high school he looked slow, but I was immediately impressed with his strong use of the left hand dribbling and shooting.

Then I found his first year Juco film and his second year Juco stats. Wow. Kid shot 48% from three point range last season on 253 attempts. That is impressive in a game of horse. He led his team in scoring at 19.2 per game. His team lost in the quarterfinals of the NJCAA Championship in Kansas. They finished the season 31-3.

And the film from his first Juco year indicates that he has gotten in much better shape and he looks much quicker. Do the link.

I'd be surprised if the Vols are the only interested suitors for this kid."

We need someone. You've got an open spot, add someone, if they don't pan out they can transfer after the year, but next year is too important to not try and find a PG. This guys numbers look very impressive, at the same time it begs the question why isn't he signed anywhere?

Definitely leaves that question in the back of your mind but hopefully he will work out for us. I hope is defense is good.
