If Knecht comes, then assume Phillips is definitely gone or Gainey is moved from scholarship to walk on in the rare occurrence that Julian returns.

No Uros, no JJJ.

No one else departs the program.

Yeah I don’t think anyone leaves. BJ got that award, and DJ with a NIL deal. It’s hard to see anyone going at this point.

Only other option, and I’ll prob get hammered and Im sure BTO will come in here crying, but Cade Phillips gets released from his NLI. But I’m sure they would move Gainey to walk on first.

If Kencht comes, Gainey has to go walk-on, or someone has to leave. We are full, right now, without Knecht factored in, and Gainey on scholarship. Phillips complicates things in that another spot would need to be manufactured.

Zeigler/Dilione
Vescovi/Gainey/Edwards
Mashack/Jefferson/Carr
Ledlum/C. Phillips
Aidoo/Awaka/Estrella

Thats 13 without Knecht or J. Phillips.

If Phillips wants to stay and Knecht wants to come, they will make the numbers work. IMO, that would be awesome and give us a chance to be really good next year.

I think making the numbers work is only one angle of that situation. They other issue is that if Knecht comes it is VERY MUCH under the assumption of what opportunity he has based on the roster and his position. Phillips being added back becomes not just a scholarship numbers issue but also a playing minutes issue at the 3/4 between Ledlum/Knecht/Phillips.
