He has developed a bad rep in the locker room though and has a tendency to self destruct a bit late in games - the killer mindset but not the results. I know UNC fans were fed up with it throughout the season. Also doubt he would want to play off ball as much as he would have to here. If all this could be reigned in a bit, I think he could be excellent for us, I just doubt CRB or anyone else’s ability to do it lol

I’m curious... how many guys can we actually take in portal? And what positions?? There’s 3 CG and 1 C on this list?

2 if all 4 seniors with a COVID year leave and nobody on the current roster leaves.

Need somebody that can play some PG and hit open 3s and possibly a low post/5. If BJ Edwards could develop significantly over the off season then another PG isn’t as critical. Going to need a 3-point shooter no matter what - but they could be a wing/shooting guard if BJE could become a reliable PG.

I’d be shocked if BJ stays honestly. They could’ve given him more minutes but went with Mashack instead.
I think Girard might be the best fit on that list honestly. Could be a good replacement for Vescovi

Right now, it's 2. Won't be shocked if Phillips goes pro and we don't have 1-2 more transfers. My money is on 3 maybe 4.

Given his injury + his style of play... I wouldn't expect to see more than 90% of "vintage" ZZ before February.

He dribbles so low to the ground, and with his cuts that just puts incredible lateral stress on his knees. If his recovery is anything less than spectacular I could easily see Barnes encouraging him to take a medical redshirt year. Barnes' love for his players is beyond paternal.

So I'm thinking we have to take one extra CG over what we would have to merely restock the roster.

...unless Edwards is a best kept secret ready to take the stage like a debutante with her ball gown on fire.
