He can enter the portal and state where he's going immediately. Suspect he won't need to visit Auburn. Easy enough to work out the NIL details then pull the trigger. Won't rule anything out when it comes to the portal. We could be doing the same with some other PG that hasn't entered the portal yet.Lol, Andrew Slater on Twitter said that Auburn is getting some “sizable” news tomorrow and Auburn fans have convinced themselves somehow that it means Julian Phillips, who isn’t in the portal, is committing to them
Interesting question. Assuming ZZ is completely healthy of course. They should have a very good feel for Dilione’s potential as a ball handler to spell ZZ which would allow Santi to stay at the 2. It may depend on how much the staff feels the frosh, Estrella and C. Phillips will contribute in the front court. If they are confident in those two I would rather have Knecht over others in consideration. Guy can score from anywhere. Maybe we would even push tempo more often, because would play a ton of 3 guard lineups.I don’t know that this is the case, but play along for a minute as if it is…
Santi is returning (other seniors gone) and they feel Phillips is returning as well, no current roster players plan to transfer out, that would leave you with 1 available scholarship to give to a transfer. If the thought on staff between coaches and training staff is that Zeigler will be full go come October 1, and that Dilione has looked more than capable at PG, what are you using that 1 spot on? Still a PG? Or are you looking for some wing scoring in Knecht or low post scoring versatility in Ledlum?
