I can't believe with the stable of quality guards here and the #1 PG in the country we can't attract a quality big man from the transfer portal. Gardner was good enough for Virginia. Gurley was good enough for Alabama, etc.

We really need some experience down low even with Fulky returning. I will reserve final judgement till the summer, but with the top echelon of quality transfers dropping fast, I am somewhat concerned.

Anosike was good enough for Gonzaga but look at how he turned out here? It’s about fit, style of play and several other things...neither Gardner or Gurley fit very well if you’re thinking we get Aidoo and BHH...BHH needs to play probably exclusively at the 4, maybe even some 3 if he can defend it, that means Fulky mostly at 5, and backing up BHH at 4...BHH nor Fulky are going to bang down low for a full season, we need someone who can, and Gardner or Gurley fit that.

I thought Gardner's tape showed better than Anosike as some were concerned. However, Virginia is not really a place where highly coveted offensive players go. They are more methodical than our offense, and in hindsight, I wonder if the staff's concerns were on point.

Except for Kessler, I don't think I was expecting a post transfer who is a high level offensive player. I understand the concern with two freshmen, but we just need about 10 and 6 from someone who can also score inside when needed.

Our best teams had Kyle Alexander who gave 24m 7p 7r 2b...obviously we had a great offensive game surrounding him but I think if we land BHH and Fulk returns we will have plenty of offensive weapons.

Exactly this. I don't think we need some big offensive post player ASSUMING we land BHH and/or Aidoo AND Fulkerson looks more like 19-20 Fulky rather than 20-21 Fulky.

If one, two, or all 3 of those scenarios go negative, then that obviously changes things. But the odds are somewhat in UT's favor I think.

UNC board seems to be having a little meltdown. Not much more information since that.

That board’s meltdown can never comes close to what we can accomplish here. I think the worst I’ve ever seen was Texas Tech’s when Beard left for Texas.

Yeah the timeline of that is suspicious. They haven’t even officially offered Aidoo yet. I’ve seen reasons like “coaches still going through vetting process” to “academically ineligible”. Marquette is actually a very good academic school and when has UNC ever cared about athlete’s GPA?

Yea I doubt there’s academic issues, regardless I’ll take it...the long that goes with no UNC offer the more I like our chances.
