Dallan Coleman, West Nassau County, Shooting Guard
Keon Ambrose, Andrews Osborne Academy, Power Forward
Jordan Rawls, Hamilton Heights Christian Academy, Point Guard
Samson Ruzhentsev, Hamilton Heights Christian Academy, Small Forward
Can't overstate how big this day was and how much we capitalized on it!
Per VQ Tennessee made a strong impression on Springer, he’s not close to doing anything but Tennessee has definitely put themselves in a good spot with him.
Don’t forget about Jason Jitoboh, he likes Tennessee and they like him, issue right now is numbers and his bad weight. If there’s roster movement they would sign and redshirt him, otherwise they’ll likely ask him to take a prep year to work on his body, Barnes sees a lot of similarities between Jitoboh and Dexter Pittman.
I think Jitoboh only is here if we have 2 departures...I think 1 departure and they are bringing in a contributing big man, whether that is a graduate transfer or someone like Kessler.I understand there won’t be much playing time time available if Grant and Bone stay along with Josiah coming in, but that’s two guys you redshirt plus Pember might also RS. Seems crazy.
I’m guessing because those have been his 4 OV’s a d he hasn’t made it to Tennessee yetRivals has an update on Kessler from Dan McDonald from their Georgia site. The article mentions Tennessee but says Duke, Michigan, Vandy and Virginia are his leaders. Still uncertain if he will reclassify or stay in the class of 2020.
I'd say that has as much to do with the fact that he has visited those schools as much as anything.Rivals has an update on Kessler from Dan McDonald from their Georgia site. It'll be interesting to see what Rick Barnes and company can do in the near future with a batch of 4- and 5-star recruits on the roster.
Well, he has certainly made this a more attractive job and laid a firm foundation and culture of winning. Provided he doesn’t take a step backwards, the next coach should come from a deeper pool. It might not be Jay Wright or Tony Bennett, but it will likely be someone you’ve heard of, or someone who has experienced a good deal of success in the mid-major or lower P5 ranks. We will keep making steps in the right direction each season. My concern is when Barnes retires in the next few years, will we be able to hire a top notch replacement to keep building on what he started
