Tennessee vs Iowa by position

While I haven't read the whole thread, I do find it somewhat surprising that of all the things to trash talk UT about he didn't mention the complete depletion of out secondary. (as it were)

Or did I just let the secret out?
Irrelevant since it appears they abandoned the forward pass during fall practice

Iowa got whipped by any team with a pulse. The rest of their schedule is trash. Easy to stack up big defensive numbers when you play the worst offenses in the Power 5 weekly.

That's not fair it was game 5 and out of necessity. They lost McNamara and had to replace him with a guy that's the literally Polar Opposite of Joe Milton. THe upside if he's starting next year he can go after a NIL deal with a noodle company? Deacons hot buttered noodle's (arm)?

Everything you said seems legit which will make it even weirder when Vols win 28-7. Life isn't fair.
Yes. I think it is unfair to Iowa fans that Tennessee will beat their football team in the Citrus Bowl. But we know that life is not always fair to those folks.

No way. Nico we have no idea. Sampson absolutely better than Leshon Williams, Kaleb Johnson 😂 yeah right
Are you serious about your running backs? You do realize Tenn was one of the best rushing teams in the nation. They also did that damage vs very stout run defenses. I’m not sure if you’re trolling or just foolish at this point?

This will be true freshman Nico Imaleava's first start as a college QB. Advantage, Tennessee.

Haha yeah so impressive that you ran the ball on ****ing Austin Peay, UTSA, Virginia, UConn and Vandy. 😂😂

But I guess you did beat powerhouses like 5-7 South Carolina, 7-5 Kentucky and 7-5 A&M.

What a brutal SEC schedule, best 8-4 team ever 😂😂😂
Even with those cupcakes our schedule is much more difficult than your pathetic big 10 cakewalk.

He's talking up their schedule as if Iowa State, Western Michigan, and Utah State are serious challenges. Then again that's probably an intimidating schedule for Iowa.

Dominant? You averaged 3.9 YPR and ran for 1500 yards as a team. We ran for 2400 and avg 5.6 YPR, against significantly better (and more of them) defenses than Iowa faced. Y’all rushed for 200+ two times, we did it 7 times. What is your definition of dominant?

Not to mention we didn’t pad our stats playing the weakest division in the Power 5.

If you just compare talent and experience by position group here is how I see it:

QB- Deacon Hill has more experience but played poorly on the whole. Nico more talent but very little experience. PUSH

RB- Iowa has 3 experienced backs and UT is down their top 2. IOWA

WR- Besides former top 100 recruit Kaleb Brown, the hawks lack here obviously. Even in a down year for your standards you guys have a big advantage here. UT

TE- Even with two NFL players out due to injury this isn’t close. IOWA

OL- Iowa has been very inconsistent up front but has had games where they dominate on the ground. UT is beat up and down a lot of guys. PUSH

DL- UT lost Baron, but has had a better pass rush than the Hawks this year. Iowa is deeper and better against the run. Without Baron it’s IOWA.

LB- two all Americans and a 2nd team all B1G player for the hawks IOWA.

DB- Lol. IOWA

Special teams- 2023 All American punter and 2022 all American kicker IOWA

I don’t think UT is better anywhere besides receiver.
You would never guess this evaluation was a by an Iowa fan. We are down ONE defensive lineman. a great one, but only one. We are also two deep in our defensive line. Where are we beat up on the offensive line? ALL of the starters are back. Your evaluation is about as valid as thinking Iowa will win. Your three experienced RBs?! You are ranked 107th in rushing, are they really a big advantage? Our starting RB is our second leading rusher this year. His backup is a superstar true freshman. We were ranked 13th. Passing?! Our starter is a true freshman starting his first game. He just happened to be the #1 recruit in the country. Where is your QB ranked, who knows. Your passing offense was rated 127th, it will be interesting to see which QB plays better. BTW, Iowa was DEAD LAST in total offense, where UT was ranked 16th. Maybe not as much of a push and maybe UT is a bit better in more items. Punter; yep you were right, your punter was number 1. He has 2 net yards per punt than ours. Also, you guys punted 87 times and we punted 48. Points to offensive ineptitude. Interesting fact, opponents had 229 return yards, our opponents netted 5. Opinion vs fact looks a bit different. May the best team win. Have a blessed day.

All gamesmanship aside, everyone knows that you can negate the hottest offense by winning the line of scrimmage.

We will see if Tennessee's lines are all speed, finesse, and angle... or if we've got enough dog in us to win against big, midwestern bulldozers.

Dude, you are f***ing Iowa. Remind me what happened the last time you played us? Oh yeah, 35-7 at halftime. Is your team better this year than in 2014? Yes, but nobody is scared of Iowa. Last time an 8-4 Tennessee team played a 10-2 Big Ten West team was against Northwestern and we beat them 45-6. Y’all can’t hang with us until proven otherwise. You’re slaw.

Haha KF is going to be the all time winningest coach in B1G history you numb nuts. Knowing UT Heupel will go 7-5 next year and you guys will fire him, hire some bumpkin from LA Tech or something and go 4-8 the following 3 seasons

Right, because Iowa is some juggernaut program compared to UT who definitely didn’t suck before Ferentz. You do realize Tennessee has had like 5 Hall of Fame coaches coach here, right (Neyland, Wyatt, Dickey, Majors, Fulmer)?

Talent and experience?? How much did that talent and experience actually help you this year??
We don't have to go position by position because Iowa doesn't have a recruiting class better than ours over the last 3 years. We already know we're more talented. Iowa fielded one of the worst offenses we have ever seen. We played one less game, had a down year on offense, and still produced 2300 more total yards than Iowa. That means we're better as a whole. Idc what u have at TE, OL, RB, WR, or Qb our overall group is better and it's not even close. On the other side of the ball your only real advantage is the Secondary. When it comes to the front 7 ours is just as violent as any other good front. Iowa gave up 10 less rush yards a game. That's not a real advantage. Our kicker was more accurate than your kicker and it wasn't really close. When it comes to the punter who cares, we don't plan on putting much anyway. But just to through out the numbers he had double the punt attempts as our punter did which says alot about your offense. Bottomline is Iowa has a strong defense and it's the only thing that could keep you in the game. Your offense is a joke and more likely to give the game to us than your defense winning it.

True. I did forget to take into account that you guys dominated superior competition at times. When I saw what your offense did against UTSA, Austin Peay, Vandy, UConn, Kentucky, Virginia, and South Carolina I really had to rethink everything I said.

UT really did prove how good they are vs extremely stiff competition.

😂😂😂😂 great wins against **** teams guys.

But I suppose when 8 win seasons come around once or twice a decade like they do in Knoxville, you have to be riding high after this season.

Haha I mean when you’re looking at the last 130 years, even the Soviet Union had a solid run in there. Now look where they are. About where UT was during Pruitts last year

How many outright Big 10 championships has he even won in 24 or 25 years? Answer: 0. But you're Iowa and your a joke of a program and you have to keep him cause you can't do any better. He also hired the worst OC in history (your own words). Is that OC coaching in the bowl game? (I already know the answer I just want to hear you say it).
