Tennessee's modus operandi to struggle in the first half then slowly take control in the second half will never work against teams like Baylor, UConn, ND or Stanford. Those teams are like sharks and a 7-point lead is like blood in the water. There is no way the Lady Vols could claw their way back from an 11-point deficit against any of those teams. How in the world can UT fix this problem? It seems to have been the pattern for the past four years, in fact.

Perhaps it is the fact that Tennessee does not possess a massive talent advantage over these other teams as in years past but does possess a significant fitness advantage. In other words, the other teams can hang with us for the first half but eventually get worn out physically before we do. UConn, Baylor, ND and Stanford will not get worn out physically.
