Intelligent, well defended opinions are always welcome. One-liners like "sunshine pumper" make you look like an uninformed moron.

There is no other way to put it when someone accepts a moral victory on a game we lost, but should have had, just because they have to "find the bright side" of everything related to the Vols. I don't settle for positive spins on things. The bottom line is winning and there is no sugar coated substitute, no matter what the sport is.

Drunk on a Tuesday afternoon?

Considering we were picked 11th in our conference, I can appreciate competing with top 10 teams.

Much better to lose by 40 and have no hope I guess.

Any loss counts the exact same on the W-L record. Losing is losing period. Gotta grab wins when they are within reach, especially like the opportunity we had today. There is nothing to feel good about in losing a game we could have and should have had.

Obviously, I wished we had won. But, I am not upset at all with how they played. Incredible effort.

Overall, I'm happy with the way we played. It's just one of those losses where you want to chuck your remote at the TV because you should of won.

This game is one of those--if you had told me before the game that we'd lose in 2OTs. I would not have been particularly disappointed. However, the way we lost it leaves me disappointed.

I can understand that. If we had played more intelligently, the game should have never seen a second overtime.

I agree but sometimes you have to look at the bright side especially with the basketball program right now. Maybe I'm reading people wrong but I don't think to many people are happy with the loss. I know I'm not but I am encouraged.

It's hard to say that we should have won. Memphis fans can just as easily say they shouldn't have let Tennessee come back like they did

Memphis set themselves up for the second half by playing out of their minds in the first half....66% from the field...80% from three point range and I forgot what at the stripe but NO team in America can keep that up for two halves(well maybe a couple could by you get the point). So you knew the score would have to close in and of course it did...if you follow enough basketball with two good teams that happens almost 100% of the time...but man Maymon looked good...BY FAR the best looking player on the floor...Thomas was out of his head for a minute though...

Memphis should have won before Tennessee should have won. In the end Memphis won. Nothing you can do but look at the positives unless you are just the ultimate pessimist.
