What is he supposed to do? Walk out on the court and take the ball from the wings before they shoot it. Can't sub in other players because they were all settling for the jumpers.
Ummm, they aint finishing 2nd. Florida is much improved as are several of the West teams. The best thing for UT is that the SEC is still terrible at the bottom, and Vandy is gutted.
We are three games in and you are bashing the coach really dude? It was a crappy game not a badly coached game. The team wasn't in it from the start so it wouldnt have mattered what the caoch said they werent' going to execute enough to win. It is really that simle sometimes.
Well, unless his players are literally deaf, he can tell them to stop shooting 3 pointers and attack the basket. I thought coaches have some control over the gameplan their players execute.
I'd rather the guys turn the ball over attacking the basket then settling for bad jump shots. They won't get any better doing the latter.

No you wouldn't you would be bashing the coaches for not teaching them how to dibble correctly.
I am just saying you can preach and preach driving the ball to the basket. But when the players get on the court they are the only one in control of what actually happens.
Georgia State's coach used his timeouts while they had no chance to get back in it. I'm not saying he should take them at the end of the game. But, when you are down 10-15 points with 15 minutes to play maybe you should coach like you are trying to win.
you seem to be trying to get the war started early.you need to keep your feelings to yourself or go cry on your mothers shoulder.
You'd probably lose your house then. You don't judge stuff like that based on one game.
It's one game. In November. Without Maymon. I'm not panicking by any stretch.
What worries me is that the team doesn't look like they've really improved in terms of their offensive sets, with or without Maymon. They still look incredibly lost against a zone defense, still can't feed the post, and still don't attack the basket. It's troubling.
Can we finally dispell the excuses from last year's bad losses being attributed to "getting the players to buy-in"? It's pretty obvious there is a systematic problem.
