Tennessee vs. Oklahoma State Game Thread - 10:30 AM EST - ESPNU

whats a score update please? As for finishing 2nd in conference. That would be a heck of an achievement. Kentucky, florida and missouri are rolling, add in a&m is a frustrating opponent for anyone like us so like 4-6 is about where i see us finishing. Especially since even maymon coming back will take some time for team to gel again.

59-40

What did people expect with this roster exactly? We need Maymon back badly. When it comes down to it our only consistent players are going to be Golden, Maymon, and Stokes. That could change at some point but that certainly looks the case at this point as it was the case last season.

It is actually, because this team doesn't make any effort to get easy baskets. They live and die by the jump shot. Better teams get to the line, get buckets inside, etc. Maymon will help with that, but winning teams win some games even when the 3 isn't going down. Mostly because they stop shooting it, unlike the Vols, who shoot it more for some reason.

Its not like our inside shots are falling today either. Third game of the season that matters zero. Without one of our top 2 players and still young at alot of positions. Team will get better this season.

McBee is a liability against a team with quick guards. Pretty much every SEC team.

He has done nothing in two games down there.

Stokes misses Maymon. They're just collapsing on him and he doesn't have the height or athletic skills yet to create out of it.

If we finish 2nd in the SEC then I'll take it. I don't think we'll lose some of those non conference games against mid majors this year like last year.

Ummm, they aint finishing 2nd. Florida is much improved as are several of the West teams. The best thing for UT is that the SEC is still terrible at the bottom, and Vandy is gutted.

I expect a lot better than what we are getting with 3 seniors starting and an all-conference player in Stokes. Poorly played ball by the Vols all the way around.

Well, we haven't taken that many of them. That's the problem.

But yes, I agree. Team will look better with a healthy Maymon (hopefully). Even so, gotta have a better gameplan than they did today. Very disappointing.

Mcbee is just a huge liability in general, especially when he isn't shooting well.

Two of the seniors are Hall and McBee. Who is the third?

Is this good coaching??

Just play harder, be tough, no game planning, unable to hit free throws, unable to handle press, unable to handle zone, unable to screen, unable to screen and roll? I am not impressed with CM's coaching. Okie won because they are better coached. Being "tough" is not everything, ask Pearl.
