If my assumption of your comment of lets see how good of a coach he is with absolutely no elite talent wasnt a dig at his coaching ability then my bad.

Thank You. It was not a dig at this coaching ability, but rather a dig that he will not be able to recruit elite players with the pending sanctions. No coach does a great job winning ball games with absolutely no elite talent.

Does anyone else think Pearl's problem with recruiting has been his ability to evaluate/recruit the skill players?

Point guard and post players have been his weakness in recruiting. I'm talking about a very good 5 in regard to post players.

Watching OSU play last night, and watching dude go 10-12 from downtown was ridiculous. We desperately need a shooter who players like Tobais and Scotty can drive and then kick out too.

I think this year is the first year that you could argue this point. So far last years incoming class (minus tobias) along with probably kenny hall have been disappointing. Who knows how those players will turn out. They may end up being great or duds who knows. Both trae and jordan were highly touted and its early yet.

Give me a break...if you would read my post it is pretty obvious that i know kenny is a soph. I said this years freshman class minus tobias, along with kenny hall have been disappointing recruits so far. And to call a freshman a disappointment is unfair on my part.
