you said he had no elite talent yet he had an NBA point guard and the SEC leader in career 3pt made. Sounds pretty good actually.

Talent wise i would argue current team has more however i would say the team he inherited was a better team. Could the team he inherited beat the teams this year and last yer beat most likely not

Exactly. C.J. is the most successful player Pearl has ever coached. And Chris Lofton is on the shortlist of best pure shooters in the history of college basketball.

Never said u said that and didnt intend it to be taken that way. Another poster said there was a mystery post player that evidently could have been considered elite that pearl inherited.

Why do you insist on changing what was actually said. I indicated that he had a post that was much better than our current post players. I very much stand by that statement. I never said he was elite or an NBA type post player. I would challenge you to tell me which player that Pearl has that is better than Wingate.

You changed my response that simply stating that there were other players on the team that were better than our current players, caused them to be elite players. Guess reading comprehension is not your strong point.

I will call loften elite right along with you. Was he considered elite when pearl got here? Absolutely not. We will have to disagree on cj. Was he a good pg absolutely but elite imo no. Would ur opinion be different if he wasnt in the league now?

he's better than any PG we've had since and the fact he's made it to the NBA is what proves his worth. He was also under Buzz for so long that most players would have struggled.

How many of the starting 5 Bruce inherited would not be starting on this current team?

And a better question about Lofton is whether Bruce would have even signed him out of HS. I don't see him as a great evaluator of talent

Totally agree with the fact tha cj is better than what weve had. Dont know if bruce would have signed loften or not i lean much closer to the latter though. To be fair tho where would chris have played if not for buzz? He was headed mid-major. When bruce got here cj and whoever our 3 was would be starting and the 5 would be a toss up in my opinion
