Because according to whomever is voting our resume' isn't strong enough.

It's cool though beat Troy and Texas and we (imo) should be Top 5 although I don't think they will place us higher than 8

The voters don't have the faith yet but over the next 6 week Tennessee will have ample opportunities to prove themselves. It will likely happen sometimes in January at the latest. If things go well and some teams that I expect to be cresting near the end of December begin to lose some games there is really no way they won't break into the top 10. Obviously, it takes TN taking care of business and some other teams falling back to reality.

I agree a win in the next two games and the lady Vol's will be in the top 10.

Kind of hard to imagine 73 rebounds against a team that is near the top in national scoring. Even harder to believe that it only ranks as 3rd most in LV history. Big numbers in several categories last night against Troy. I sure don't miss the Jeckel and Hyde product of past years.

Still top 15 depending on margin / But this is about respect for us you see how notre dame still gets respect for hanging with uconn, same thing will happen if we hang with texas we wake people up but texas is beatable. they are just a hard team to beat

Just listening to the players presser. Kortney Dunbar has had little chances for exposure these last few years . She is known more for a beautiful woman verses a great basketball talent ! However , her personality of dealing with non playing time and transfers speaks volumes about her character! Just listening to her during the presser .... I never realized how well spoken a young woman and not just another pretty face!!!! She is going to make someone a great companion someday! Just saying 😁

10 - 0 big win tonight over Texas. next up LONG BEACH STATE, then STANFORD. The Lady Vol's will be 16 - 0 when they meet SOUTH CAROLINA.

Going undefeated into the chicken do game would be nice. Unfortunately, if you thought last night's officiating was Texas home cooking, you ain't seen nothing yet. West coast officiating will be just as bad and we will not be on our home floor. Seen too many games out there to feel the officiating will be non biased. Our ladies will need to play hard and together.

If they can shake off the rust of two games in roughly two weeks, and beat Stanford out there with their Homer refs, I like their chances to win a majority of those games. This LV team presents matchup problems for most teams. They are playing as a team and they are strong off the bench. I like that combination. Just have to keep those freshmen from hitting that brick wall.

to me.
Lets just whip em one at a time.

First we need to take care of another ALA State type of program and then we get Stanford.
Stanford is struggling, 5-4,,,,they would see this as a "proving" game. Probably have recruits there.

Also! I just looked at TN conference schedule they have to play SC Twice, MSU twice, answers at Mizzou, sprinkle in ND away...I think even with the cupcakes if TN can come out of those games .500 or better and have at least a 12-4/ record with this young team it’s a win. I am really hoping we come out of the out of conference 12-0 with three top 20 wins (and one over Ok state which will help with RPI and selection committee seeding) that’s a win. Much better then last year than last year! However like other posters have said one game at a time 😎
