Well, that's a stretch...but OK I will acquiesce for you, SV.

Thank you, 1CV.

1) don't confuse Justa with some other purported SC fans (I still say they are clemsumites in disguise trying to make the real USC look bad),

2) all things are relative, look at some of the posters who are supposedly fans of other teams, and you will see the epitome of Bad manners, No upbringing, a Disgrace to whomever raised them. In that context, Justa is a jewel of a visitor:).

He even tolerates our beloved gule:crazy:.

Who for a self proclaimed grammar Nazi, just missed an egregious error in the above. Too late, gule:crazy:, I corrected it!

How much dose the two hours a week with the coach help in the two summer semesters. This was just started last year.

Will Jaime Nared and Mercedes Russell playing in the U23 team help or hurt Tennessee chemistry as a team. Chemistry keys to the success of an organizations.

I hate Diamond DeShields, Te'a Cooper, and Alexa Middleton all left. We still are going to have a very good team. we have a young but fast back court. the front court with Mercedes Russell, Jaime Nared, Cheridene Green, and Kasiyahna Kushkituah, will be the best since 2008.:hi:

I think the jury is out because for the last few years our teams have just not played up to the level of their talent. Seeing is believing, the talent is there, no doubt, however will it surface on the court? The fact that Russell and Nard are two of the best, simply based on the fact they've made the under 23 USA team, they have a chance to be great senior leaders. I do not believe that there are any valid excuses, except for injuries, for this team not being one of the top 10 teams in the country.

Well many here more optimistic than I am and have been..... Last yr with DD Nared and Russell the "Big 3" we were taken down by Ole Miss, Alabama, Penn St, etc.....

What has changed? A few new faces, but still the same recipe true?

Last year, we also beat 4 Top 10 teams including the eventual National Runner Up and National Champ on their home floor. Why define the season only by its worst moments.

What has changed is that we no longer have a mean girl divisive cancer on the team. Chemistry was so affected that they were easily bested by lesser teams, but showed more of their true mettle when playing a big game.

Both of your posts are spot on. Drive-By posters are here primarily to take cheap shots at the program and never add any value to the discussions. No one will change that. The best fans can do is to recognize these posts for what they are intended to do....spread dissension among the fan base.

Team chemistry is one of the most important advantages or disadvantages a team can have. When the chemistry is bad, teams will not be on their game. Obviously, with a talented team, when the team can win against top 5 teams but loose against inferior teams, something mental is going on. I hope they have dealt with the source(s) and this team will come out focused and on their game.

I am not a self-proclaimed coach but do know a bit about psychology.

I think the team is better next season and that may not mean any more wins or less losses. We play a lot of tough road games and this is where freshmen usually find the going tough. Imperative that we win all the games up to Texas and by then we should at least be improved enough to make that game a tossup.
We need 12 SEC wins. Right now I am saying we could go 23 and 7.
You just don't know how Holly is going to coach the team. Will she set up Davis for a few threes a game or will she try to force the ball inside and turn the ball over a lot. That is something we have to get away from doing. You must be able to open up the inside by making the outside shots something we haven't been able to do well in the past seasons. This season I think we have the players that can make those shots and give us a better shot of forcing the defense to open up the floor instead of clogging the lane.

None of us are other than individuals with some idle time to devote to discussing LV basketball. Another season is coming in November and before that a small number of young women with basketball skills will decide that Tennessee is there first choice. We on this board will not effect or affect either outcome. By now for the regular reader the predilections of most regulars is noted. I personally enjoy the responses of the many knowledgeable respondents. Each year I am positive about the coming season as well as the skill development of players. And I know that for nearly all opponents the LVs are #1 or #2 for the coming year. Some games the shots won't fall. injuries continue to effect outcomes especially in the SEC. this thread is devoted to the positive for the coming year. and I remain realistic and confident. Go LVs

Realistic: having a sensible idea of what can be achieved or expected
Confident: self-assured, assure, positive, assertive,
Pessimistic: a tendency to see the worst aspect of things or believe that the worst will happen; a lack of hope or confidence in the future

Seems like we did better with our strategy last year not forcing it into the post as much. We took more midrange jump shots.

Hopefully, we learned not to force it while still getting post touches.

I choose to be positive. While I cannot predict the future nor will I set a high benchmark to allow for easy failure, I saw really good things from the team for the 4 years HW was coach prior to DD playing on the team.

I know that Diamond and Te'a have been tagged as the scapegoats for Holly's coaching woes, but the signature wins they had during the HW era came because Diamond came to play on both ends of the floor.

Pretend all you want that she was a detriment to the team, but they don't beat SC or ND without DD.
