Tennessee will have a great season in 2017/2018

there's an old coaching adage that says "live by the three die by the three".

Teams can fall in love with it and sometimes it dictates their success or failure. A well-balanced offense is key. A point guard a shooter a small forward who can play pretty much all five positions a power forward and Center...you got those five spots covered you're going to win.

Nowdays I think 4 out of 5 of your players on the court need to be able to bury a wide open 3. If not, it takes a lot of stress off the opposing defense. Not having the threat of an outside game can destroy your penetration/inside game. This has plagued us in recent years.

There should be a new adage: "If you're under 6'4" and you can't shoot, do not recruit."

I totally agree..Every player should be able to:
Fastbreak baseline to layup
Shoot the three
Shoot the two
Postup
Rebound
Hit the open look
Box-out

And on my teams, I teach every facet of the game to every player...But they still have their individual unique attributes that make them more beneficial playing a certain aspect of the game.

I prefer "five specific parts" to "Inter-changeable parts" basketball.

to use a heart surgeon. extreme fine motor skills, andhand - eye coordination are essential to be a surgeon.

the military has measures to determine who can become marksmen again the above.

if Wilt Chamberlain he would have been as good a shooter as Stephen Curry. And if only women practiced more they also could routinely hit similar shots to Curry. The LVs have had, as have most teams, athletic players who did not have the motor skills to master shooting free throws.

CHATTVOL has nothing else.

Really? I don't have anything? Oh, that's rich. I've just been nice, letting you thump your chest like the LV Forum is your jungle.

See, I know who you are, Jumper, in REAL LIFE...not just this pretend world where you can make yourself sound all credible.

Well, let's see... one reason Holly wouldn't let Meme Jackson be privately coached by you is that MEME & HER FAMILY ASKED THE STAFF TO INTERCEDE. Apparently, you drove them crazy offering your expert services. They couldn't get you to stop without being rude. So, Holly got to play bad cop.

You know, I actually like some of your points, Jumper. But you too often go overboard with tooting your own horn. It's not necessary.

But wait, I thought the issue with Jumper not coaching players in a meaningful capacity was because of Holly not wanting the competition, but it was really about his stalking?

So this is your tactic when you have nothing else?

Don't jump on CHATT's lie-train...

I was given the reason via a phone message from Holly....It had nothing to do with stalking. Nor competition.

CHATTVOL, this is really dipping down
