But to call them terrible or not worthy of a scholarship is silly at this point don't you think? I know you didn't but that's what we were responding to. I was anyway...
I dont pay attention to overexagerrations especially from BOP....I do feel like our recruiting has not been good enough to be the kind of program that we all want us to be.
When all of Pearl's player leave next season, Martin looks like he'll have a starting 5 of:
PG- Darius Thompson
SG- Robert Hubbs
SF- Josh Richardson
PF- A.J. Davis(?); Phil Cofer maybe Reese
C- NDiaye (?); Phil Cofer
Is that a roster you feel comfortable sending to battle against Kentucky, Florida, Mizzou, LSU to compete for the conference or even a tourney bid?

Yea we were the only high major that offered Hubbs, Davis or Thompson, all 3 were big time reaches.
Wow.

I'm not sure you'll find anyone saying we are a top 25 team next year, but I'm willing to let the season play out before writing off next season as a disaster and CBI bid.
With the large amounts of graduate transfers, medical waivers, and spring time flips there's a lot that could happen to change the look of our roster.
Not saying this happens, just using an example, but how different does that team look if Chane Behanon decided to come here and Jarnell Stokes elected to return for his senior season?
Behanan has one semester of eligibility left, so he won't be much help.
The odds of Stokes coming back are slim, I think.
Richardson, Hubbs, Davis. We will be fine there. Post d and inside scoring will be weak. We have not recruited post players well. Moving 2s and 3s there is not the answer.
I agree on both, it was just an example though as to how 1 or 2 moves and the roster could look a lot different.
Look at the impact Kane is making at Iowa State, with the transfer rules now there's a lot of options outside of high school kids to improve your roster in the spring.
Do you think he starts? I'm more of the mindset that he'll be a project for the first two years of his career.
