Why would Smith come back if he's got any kind of a shot to play in Europe or the NBA? What is he coming back to? He will be with the same team that still can't spread the defense with an outside shot. Maze/Tabb/West at the point. Hall is the only improvement coming in and I don't think he will be a difference maker.
You're among those making the brilliant statement that UCONN would be a tougher matchup among number 1 seeds than Pitt. Those two teams, as they will be constituted for the NCAA Tournament, played twice. The Panthers handled them without a whole lot of difficulty both times. It's not really a tough concept.Really? I think we all already knew that. I was referencing dyson not playing against Pitt. Your post has no logical reasoning to it as it doesn't pertain to anything about Pitt vs uconn.
That was hilarious. I enjoyed the fact that he stood there with the ball for about five seconds, and you could hear the wheels turning in his head - "Wow, I'm wide open. Should I shoot this? I suck at shooting, and coach may yell at me during the next timeout, but man, I really, really wanna shoot. I mean, B-Maze and Wheezy shoot the 3, it's not fair that I don't get to!", finally realized that no MSU player was going to contest the shot (and why should they?), then shot the ball with his feet firmly rooted to the floor, with virtually no arc, and somehow it goes in, and now he thinks he's a perimeter shooter.

I know Pitt dominated UConn heads up but I can't help but think we would have zero shot against Thabeet. If the whole team shrivels up against Varnado, they would do the same against Thabeet.
Meanwhile, they wouldn't shoot 30% and be able to carve us up.
At least we will have a shot to get Blair in foul trouble and maybe put together a decent effort.
Varnado is better than Thabeet... all around. Thabeet will be better when he's a senior.... if he gets to that point. CAN we beat Okie St. and Pitt? Sure we can... will we? Probably not... let's wait and see what team shows up. :clapping:
