No. I just put down some random number. I have no idea.

You could have at least hit it twice Pacman.

Florida, LSU, and Auburn are all considerably better than the Vols.

55% against the field? That's intense. IMO, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU and Tennessee are the teams with legit shots at the SEC crown. Arkansas and South Carolina could make the title game but IMO lack the talent to walk away with it. So if you take those 6 teams and give them an equal shot, it gives you 16.67% across the board.

After that, I think Florida, Georgia and Auburn are looking at the best shots. So they get 20%. Then I'll give Tennessee and LSU 15% each. Then I give Alabama 10% because they have players but are not *quite* on that upper echelon. They could pull it off though.

And bear in mind these percentages are against the field.

LSU is talented but they lacked that killer instinct last season without Saban at the sideline.

Ask Miami what they think of that statement.

What happened to the random numbers?

I agree Milo. I don't think LSU is going to be "considerably" better than us.... as long as Ainge can get the job done.

LSU was considerably better than us last year and we still beat them under Miles.

The last time we saw LSU, they were crushing Miami. When last the Vols took the field, they lost to the School for People Who Couldn't Get Into Duke or Stanford. I'll stand by my assessment.

I believe the Vols are going to surprise the nation this year. Expectations are low - which is a GOOD thing. I was very leery of that preseason # last year because of 2001. Also, Rico McCoy is generating a lot of buzz in sports circles. We may not win all of our games , but I think we'll win some big ones and in a big way.

Just MY always humble opinion. :hi:

Miami has been suffering the same problem lately. They have a bad knack of dropping games they shuldn't. North Carolina and Clemson in '04, not to mention an almost against Louisville that same season. Then dropping one to Georgia Tech last season.

Yeah, that Miami team was just awesome.
They were good enough to win at VA Tech. They weren't a vintage Cane squad, but beating them 30-3 is a pretty good accomplishment.

Last season was a disaster from the get-go. All those arrests and transfers...it would hurt ANY team. The team AND staff know that last season was unacceptable and that a repeat will not be tolerated. I could be wrong, but it looks like conditions are favorable for the Vols to have a good season.

I'll bet the Peach Bowl Champions always have high expectations for the next season.

Russell is inconsistent and they have a lot of tough games on the road.

I hope you're right.

Bottom line, Miles is no Saban.
