Tennis Vols back in NCAAs

I realize I might just be talking to myself on here, but Smith definitely has a future in doubles.. His volleys are amazing.

yep... Has a mustache and real bad temper. JP lost the 1st set in tiebreaker. Johnson came up with some really big passing shots. His serve is tough. JP just took the 2nd set easily, and it's 0-1 in the 3rd. Johnson just held serve, but he's clearly rattled. Smith has the Federer calmness about him

Smith is playing well. you can watch it here if the link works for you: Stanford Tennis Live Court 01

It's 1-1 in the 3rd set, but smith just fought back 0-30 to hold. He's clearly got some of the momentum now, but Johnson's serve is just so damn good. Watching this match and many of the other matches, it's clear to me that we had the best 1-4 in the country this year.

hahaha, Johnson hit a ball down the line that was out, Smith called it out and Johnson started acting like a little baby and walked all the way up to the net then argued with the umpire. On the next point, Smith hit a clean winner down the line, Johnson walked over to the ball and instead of hitting it over the net to Smith, he dribbled into the net and made Smith walk up to the net and grab it... You're right, when he gets rattled he is a tool..

I've played tennis most of my life and that is the most frustrating part about the sport. So many bratty, spoiled babies! Which makes me cheer for people like Smith even more

He was just as big of a douche when things were going his way.

lol, well he was put out of the tourney last year by Rhyne Williams. Would be great for Smith to take him out this year. Smith hasn't lost a serve yet this match. Is up 4-2 as we speak...

Smith down 4-2 in tiebreak at the switch. Still has one serve left. Just can't seem to get a point on Johnson's serve.

and the douche wins.... Smith's serves just aren't big enough to win a tiebreak. Really unfortunate. He was the better player today. Overall he won 2 more games than the douche, but just couldn't win the points in the end. I really hope he gets his well deserved championship in doubles.

Rhyne and Tennys on a collision course for a semifinal showdown.

How in the heck did Sandgren lose to that guy from Georgia? I think our entire team went out the night before that match and did Ainge-esque amounts of cocaine and boozing...either that or somebody simply roofy'd them. The beatdown we took in some of those singles slots....well they just don't make sense.

Prediction:
Rhyne's gonna win this tournament -- he'll be winning it as a sophomore a la his associate coach Chris Woodruff -- and then he's gonna go pro shortly thereafter (a la his associate coach Chris Woodruff).
