My 9 year old daughter said "Those pants are ugly."

I can't be too mean, though. The A&M fans on here have been nothing but class.

Say it. After seeing the Pride Of The Southland (amazing), they looked pretty terrible.

the "swastica" as you are so nicely (not) putting it....is actually one of the most amazing things done by any marching band in the nation....that particular crossover has been analyzed by more then one compute and has been said to be impossible to do bc you have to have 2 people in the same place at the same time.

you are the only group of people that we have ever played that have seen us for the first time that did not have anything good to say...

but hey, whatever, you are entitled to your opinion, and this is your board...

and i had thought y'all were one of the classiest groups we had played this year, right up until the nazi comments i just read.

i know y'all have seen military marching bands before, i've seen them while at a vols game.

but, again, whatever......

Sorry for the comments on my part... You guys really have been the absolute best fans from any of the opposing teams to visit the boards this season.

. . . if you can't make fun the band, who can you make fun of?

Nobody right now. The game's over, time for ribbing is done until the next time these two teams meet.

yes, I liked the Vols band...

always have.

UT (the real one, not the little thing here in Austin) was the only other school I considered going to when I applied to college.

If I would've still had family in TN, I would've been there.

What do the POSLMB and John Ward have in common?

They have no equals....nothing better. The POSLMB is as much a part of our tradition as the football team, except, they never lose!!!

Some of those "nazis" will be overseas protecting your butt while you sit on the couch eating Fritos. What a classy statement.

These people get really worked up when you joke about the band.

Well, think about it GAVol. The band was the best thing they put on the field today.

no, I have no problem in general with someone making fun of the band...as was said before, if you can't make fun of the band, who can you make fun of...

the problem I had was comparing them to a bunch of murdering racists...

the comment about the pants or y'alls opinions that they were horrible (which, imo, they were not, they just march different then y'all do) are no big deal...

the other, imo, was over the top.

I'll give you that. Nazi references are not exactly the best direction to go in search of comedy.

thats really the only thing i was initially referencing, sorry if i did not make myself clearer....

its a band....i think bands were put here to make fun of....but, just to a point.

and the cross-over at the end, if you look at it specifically as entertainment instead of trying to find something wrong, is actually pretty awesome, its not something they do very often bc its incredibly difficult...

Did the Aggie band not play their pre-game show for halftime? That's something they have worked on since the beginning of the semester (some members for years) If so, that's pretty lame. UT played a show the worked on for maybe a week or two and probably cleaned when they got to Dallas.

um, no, its not something they've worked on since the begining of the semester, or for years. The Aggie Band does a different show every game. The drum majors come up with the half-time performance every Sunday, and then they work on it from Monday to Friday.

So they've only been working on this since Thanksgiving, taking out the week and a half of dead-week/finals and the week they were all home with the family for Christmas.

I dont know what they did for pre-game, so I cannot say if it was the same or not.

The "impossible drill" is not some brand new show for this year, it is a tradition. So my point is that many of these have worked this exact drill before.
