Maybe just sort of like scrimmages within the conference?

Tennessee all-freshman team vs. Georgia all-freshman team.

That would be cool.

definitely....all freshman teams just to see what they can do...very cool idea.

i hate the time between baseball and football, its such a long, long time...

At least we have CSS which shows re-airs of the previous season's games. I wonder if they'll re-air the Cotton Bowl? I cannot believe I forgot to tape it!!

They'll never do it, but it WOULD be cool and fun to watch.

Right up until our freshman get injured. You know it would happen with us.

I didn't mean our first-stringers. I mean the kids who never get to play in the real games.

 Oh, ok then! But they would get injured too.

Does anybody play JV games anymore? I think the scholarship reductions have pretty much killed them off.

He didnt say the members of the band were NAZIS. He said the uniforms look like NAZI.

That may be true, but I find that to be a funny statement as Texas Aggie Cadet Uniforms are pretty much modeled after US Army Unis from the WWII Period. So, if they look like anything, they look like US Army Soldiers from about 60 yrs ago.

Anyway, I am still new to your board and have been enjoying myself. It is a shame to see one of your own use the Nazi reference.

As for making fun of the bands, go ahead and make fun of our band all you want. Nothing was funnier than when your announcer said something like... "now as the Tenn band performs the most complex formation....", and then your band made a big circle.

:eek:lol: Hey, circles are round. Can you draw a perfect circle?

99, a word of caution. NEVER give these guys license to make fun of ANYTHING unless you REALLY mean it.

No, not without a compass. But your band's circle wasnt perfect either, so I guess I would have to say that it was pretty complex....lol

Why is your band a military band? Is A&M a military school??

We use to be an all male military school. We no longer require participation in the Cadet Corps, but the band is part of that tradition. That is why they are a military band......ie They are Cadets.

Are the band members really in the military? Sorry for the annoying questions, but I really am curious.

Yes, A&M is one of three schools(non military) that their studies count towards their permanant military ranking. Pretty big deal there.

I'm CONFUSED.

Are they in the military or just pretending to be??

What "Donsargegolf" said...and...

They are Cadets. But not yet in the military. Some of them are just in the cadet corps for four years, and then decide not to go into military service. But many of them are on Military Scholarships/Contracts to join the Armed Forces right out of College.

They are Cadets....think Citadel or VMI.

Not military but their studies count towards their permanant military career. Only 3 schools in our land have studies accepted by the military.

I guess my alma mater, The North Carolina school of the Arts isn't one of those institutions huh?
