Texas Governor has had enough of Biden’s BS! Sending illegals to D.C.

Holy crap. 25-30 illegals dropped off in DC. Gonna change the whole dynamic of that city. Great political theater for 5-10k. And not a single person outside of fox news gives a shite.

And that is the problem, the left basically encourages these people to invade our country despite the fact we are supposed to be a sovereign nation with borders.

According to TDEM, Abbott’s plan is already working. The agency told Fox News on Monday that many of the communities that originally reached out for support – from the Rio Grande Valley to Terrell County – say the federal government stopped dropping immigrants in their towns since Abbott's announcement on April 6.

Yea right..that’s it
The unintended consequence of eliminating national power creates a vacuum and higher level of control by a global governance.
Pure libertarianism is a unicorn
I think you are confusing libertarianism with anarchism.

Typically libertarianism in this country is defined as wanting the federal powers limited to what is spelled out in the Consitution. So it wouldnt be nothing, ot would just be what the FF set it to be.

Now sure there are some versions of libertarianism that use various philosophies to define exactly what the fed government should do beyond the Consotution, but none define it as "nothing".

I get the deal that hypocrisy is ok as long as it's your side. If they are truly criminals as many here like to say then they should be treated as such right? Or is ignoring the law for political points now ok for both sides?

I don't think the vast majority are criminals but I think they put a strain on resources, you don't know enough about them, it's harder to assimilate and it is unlawful. On top of the drugs, the criminal element, the unfairness to people going about it lawfully, etc. I'm not sure that is difficult to get across without trying to conflate the subject.

Explain please
If they're really criminals then they should be detained and processed thru that system. If Texas has now decided that criminals from their state will just be shipped elsewhere then they've decided to not enforce the law. Are they criminals or not?

So you're now claiming that illegally crossing the US border is not a criminal act?

They’re here illegally which makes them criminals but your fellow libs in DC keep letting them in. They think giving them a free smartphone will help keep tabs on them and they’ll do the right thing and show up for court.

Is it within a states purview to detain, prosecute and deport people for breaking immigration laws? Or would a federal judge order them to be released?

How many Mexican families are you taking in. Since you are doing so well financially in this Biden economy I would think 2-3 families could use your help.

Border Patrol stops releasing migrants to town that called in Abbott buses to DC

AUSTIN, Texas — The Border Patrol has walked back its plans to release migrants into a Texas town after local officials vowed to take up Gov. Greg Abbott's offer to bus them to Washington, D.C., according to the mayor.

Don McLaughlin, the mayor of the remote town of Uvalde, Texas, said the Border Patrol’s plans to release more than 1,000 people each week into his town of 16,000 residents were suddenly reversed following Abbott’s announcement last week in which he threatened to bus noncitizens up the East Coast to the Capitol.

I dont think Border Patrol is a state entity. And I am not sure how you prove a negative, that you arent here legally.

And as governor I think he gets a lot of leeway in how the laws of his state are executed.

Maybe you are misunderstanding me but crossing illegally is a criminal act, but I don't think the majority are committing rape, murder, etc when they get here. I'm sure they want a better life but we have a system and laws in place they are breaking.

Texas DPS Border Inspections Take 1K Dangerous Commercial Trucks, 84 Drivers Off U.S. Roadways

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers conducting safety inspections of commercial vehicles at ports of entry stopped nearly 1,000 trucks with “serious safety violations” from driving into the state. The increased inspections are being carried out under an order from Governor Greg Abbott as part of a response to the growing border crisis.

Troopers took nearly 25 percent of the 4,133 commercial vehicles inspected during the first six days following the governor’s announcement off the roadways for “serious safety violations,” according to a statement provided by DPS officials. Troopers placed 973 commercial vehicles out of service following the inspections. These safety violations included defective brakes, defective tires, and defective lighting. Troopers also placed 84 drivers out of service for violations of state or federal regulations.

Governor Greg Abbott eases up on 'enhanced' truck inspections at just ONE key Texas-Mexico border crossing as Psaki blames his 'unnecessary measures for price increases

Texas Governor Greg Abbott walked back his tighter inspection measures for truckers at a key border crossing after White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Wednesday blamed him for driving up already runaway prices caused by record-high inflation.

One entry point, at the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge, saw wait times increase from 63 minutes to 320 minutes and traffic through the port drop 35 percent as 2,000 to 3,000 trucks waited back-to-back at the bridge, according to the Washington Post.

On Wednesday evening, Abbott clarified that he will ease his inspection mandate at just one bridge but will not rescind his order at other crossings until he gets more assurances of security.

A determined inspector can find “dangerous safety violations” on every truck on the road. This is a bitch move by Abbott.
