For those that want to know, I counted just over 900 windmills at two of the larger windfarms in Texas (Los Vientos and Roscoe), with a combined capacity of about 1600MW. Now keep in mind that Texas has a total of over 30,000 MW of available windfarm capacity. So these 2 windfarms (and 900 or so windmills) only represent about 5% of their total.

Now one of these windfarms already had to have investments made in reducing the damage done to bats (likely an EPA or govt mandate). So in addition to that, the Democrats are now going to say that they should have had heaters, also. So when are these 900 or so windmills going to get the funding, time and manpower to install these heaters?

An again, I'm just talking about 5% of Texas in these two windfarms.

This isn't really germane to the conversation we were having but I think the answer is that 1) you store energy in batteries for when it's not blowing; and 2) you utilize other forms of energy to supplement it.

It's an out of context YouTube video about wind turbines thousands of miles from the topic of the thread. I'd prefer not to try to pivot my mind that deep into dementia to figure it out.
