Texas Immigration Bills

Before I'm called racist or anything like that let me explain my problem.

My mom is a CSM at wal mart. Pretty much stands there til something goes wrong on a register. Well she came in one day telling me a story about a young lady that she works with. Said the lady works, her husband lost his job and they can't get cant get any help. They are currently sleeping in a late 90s Honda Accord.

On the flipside, she had a problem on a register one day with a hispanic lady who didn't speak english. Had no way of communicating with her. After a lengthy experience, the lady paid with her food stamp card. Paid like 400 dollars for groceries. And had a balance of 2000 + on her card left for that month.

Our own working ppl can't get help, but an illegal immigrant can. I have a problem with that.

If she was Hispanic and did not speak English, she must have been an illegal immigrant. Way to jump to conclusions...you certainly are not racist.

If you was up in Morristown you would understand.

But you aren't. Haven't you got a tree to go hug?

Please, convince me why it is wrong for someone to cross an invisible line, take a job that is offered to them, and work to feed their family?
Do I understand that illegal immigrants don't come from the best living conditions? Absolutely. That doesn't mean illegal immigration should be tolerated.

I know what you mean. I think that's unfair to legal immigrants.

I think it's a little unfair to those that can't afford to legally migrate. But to those that don't apply for citizenship, then we have an issue.

Other than she didn't speak English, how do you know she's an illegal? Pretty sure you have to have a SS# to get food stamps...

Not sure on that, but having a SS# and it being yours is two different things.

DL's ,voter registration cards, state funded HC,.... seem to come pretty easy as well.

I understand not everyone has a great situation, but that doesn't mean our country with an already struggling economy can be Mexico's welfare system.
