And ironically, he finishes with this puzzling statement:

Jackson continued, “It’s not politics. It is not economics. It all boils down to pretty much to race. It is a shame.”

I wouldn't have pegged you as someone that reads The Blaze, Baker.

I don't regularly. Reason linked to the article. If something sparks my interest, I'll check it out, no matter the source. I'm all over the place. I read Huffington somewhat frequently, and very rarely read Drudge.

Just don't stray down to the comments and the stupidity is fairly restricted on that article. Gotta commend Samuel L. Jackson for being honest.

Breaking news . . . People gravitate toward people they have something in common with.

Would you also commend a tea partier if they made a similar statement as to why they didn't vote for Barack?

The first major party black candidate and black people, who had never had the opportunity before, voted for him ? Shocking.

Face it: some blacks voted for him because he's black, some whites voted against him because he's black.

this is what Ive gathered this far.
1. if you're white and you didn't and don't plan to vote for Obama, you are racist.
2. if you're white and you voted for Obama in 2008, you've kinda sorta atoned for the sins of white people from America's past. However, to prove you're truly not a racist, you have to vote for him again. otherwise, you're a racist.

3. If you're white and you voted for Obama in 2008, it's because John McCain sucked as a candidate.

I voted against him because I felt bad for the guys that keep up with the national debt numbers. I hope they are union.

This explanation goes beyond race. It also goes for whatever letter (D or R) is beside the candidate's name.
I'll admit that I've voted Republican for offices I didn't even know existed, just because it said "R" by their name. I'll also admit that, like Jules, I have regretted that.

Is it racist for a black person to vote for Obama because he thinks he will do things that help black people?
