So you've never gone into an establishment waiting on friends or family and waited on them to order? Good God. Why does something so simple need to be explained?
By the way, the party they were waiting on was a white real estate investor, meeting them to discuss business. Amazing how this narrative changes when the facts are known.
The question that remains unanswered is "how long were they there before being asked to leave?"
And furthermore, how much of a problem would it have been to grab a cup of (disgusting) coffee or a muffin while waiting?
You want to scream racism without knowing all the facts. Kinda important to know...
So you were accused of loitering? I've never been told to leave a place when explaining that I was waiting for someone. It isn't the policy of chain establishments to handle things like this. If you were a victim of overt racism, you'd probably be a little defiant too.I actually have and was asked to leave. I left instead of arguing about it. Called the friend and went somewhere else because we werent going to give money to the people who had been asses to us.
The best way for those who were arrested to have handled this would have been to leave, go somewhere else, and complain later to the home office.
Might have gotten free stuff instead of being arrested.

That thought had occurred to me, too. It reminds me of the black kid accused of stealing clothes that he had apparently bought in an earlier trip, and was then stopped when he tried to walk out of the store with the labels still attached. He had it all on film.I wouldnt be surprised if this was a setup.
The witness accounts and video are why the CEO of Starbucks has issued an apology and saying "The basis for the call to the Philadelphia police department was wrong. The video shot by customers is very hard to watch and the actions in it are not representative of our Starbucks mission and values." Everything has to be some kind of money grab or conspiracy with you rubes, instead of what this actually was-overt racism.lol
Remember those eye witness statements from Ferguson and how reliable they turned out to be?
Yeah, your "facts" are little more than people's opinions.
