Every single study on pay shows the fact that white men and women make more than black, Latin, or Native men. Nothing to do with employment rates. Which btw are a result or racist hiring policies.
You can't argue with facts. Stop making all these dumb azz anecdotal posts about your cousin or wife or how your company supposedly pays everyone the same or hire minorities first.
It's been proven by multiple studies black people get hired and interviewed less than white candidates who are LESS qualified.
It's been proven when hired we make less than those with the same or worse qualifications.
There is no argument you can make about pay. Only racist BS to minimize what the facts are.
The facts, data, and multiple studies showing the bias doesn't matter. Your racism and ignorance won't allow you to acknowledge the truth that 90% of Americans know to be true.
Starbucks admitted it was racist, fired the manager, and is closing stores to engage in further racial bias training, and there are still people in this thread saying it wasn't racist. That should tell you all you need to know.

The problem isnt the fact. Its your misrepresentation of the facts. Those studies show the median pay for white people vs black people.
The median white person is 43. The median black person is 26.
The issue is your misunderstanding of statistics.
Why would you expect the average 26year old to make the same amount as the average 43year old?

Everything you are talking about is literally illegal. Under the Equal Pay Act the EEO Commission was set up to investigate instances of discrimination in hiring and performance management. The issue with several academic studies being conducted is that they dont look at all factors such as education and experience. The vast majority of the time, employee experiences differ. Same with education. If you have a BA in liberal arts, it doesnt qualify you for an engineering job. Just like if you are entry level, you wont make the same as an employee with more seniority and experience. That is fact. Look up the federal law. If these injustices are happening, then they should be reported and lawsuits should follow.
When equal jobs + experience are compared, it's equal.
Hiring for the company where I work goes like this:
1) Women first, minorities better.
2) POC
3) White males.
That's just how it is. This was in an email a year or so ago from our HR department. I thought it was grounds for legal action but no one has *****ed yet so I guess not.
You are talking about a handful of stores.....what about the other 7995 stores they are closing because they over saturated the market and opened a store on every other dang corner.....the "training" is a cover.....

I don't typically buy Starbucks. If they depended on folk like me there would be no Starbucks. Now, I agree they are approaching saturation in the US, But that has nothing to do with the racial bias training issues.
Read the plan they have to implement racial bias training and what it will cost them. This is for real.
