That's racist!

If your question is poignant, Isn't the mirror image of your question equally as valid?
If Ds are so good for them, why arent they further ahead after 50 years of voting for Ds?

Did a little digging and it is definitely a mixed bag...

In 1964, 27% of blacks graduated high school. Today 88%
4% held a college degree... 28%
Average income has doubled
Poverty among blacks has fallen by 20%

Home ownership, net worth, children out of wedlock, single parent homes have all gotten worse over the same time period.

In all fairness, it is a pretty mixed bag across all racial lines for those categories.

Do you think the mirror image of your Q has validity, then?

The fact that you do not even realize that your comment is racist is telling.

That’s. What. YOU. Think. Of. Black. People. You’ve been on here for years spouting off about how they’re too stupid and poor to get an ID. I don’t believe that to be the case. YOU do.... You’ve gone full Luther. Soon it’ll be known as going full Clearwater.

I will explain it slowly for you. You have stated a belief that democrats treat blacks like they are small children incapable of caring for themselves. Yet blacks continue to vote democrat. So implicit in your position is the belief that blacks are incapable of making a decision that would actually be beneficial to them. You are attempting to tell me what I think of blacks. All I have been saying is that blacks tend to vote democrat and have a greater representation in the democratic party. You are telling me that they are too stupid to know that it is bad for them to vote democrat.

Again, you are the racist.

It is not popular but I actually take the different opinion. Those without IDs would need them and groups, volunteer organizations would fill that Gap to make sure that population had the appropriate identification. Through that engagement, reassurance about safety at the polls and ease of voting would be communicated and I actually think the turnout for that population would increase.

If I am reading this correctly, it is your assertion that blacks that vote democrat are just looking for handouts.
I think they vote Democratic for the same reason that some whites in the South still vote Democratic. It is because their parents did, and some people are looking for handouts, whether black, white or whatever.

Because you all have been successful in making them think Rs are racist, want to hang them or take away all government help. For generations they have been told this crap and for generations they continue to believe it for the most part.

Thats interesting. Thats a substantial jump in education levels from 64'.

Is home ownership defined by just securing a loan and having a house in your name or does that just pertain to note paid off and house in your name?

The reason I ask, net worth could be chalked up to poorly managing income and assets even tho your income has increased. In other words anyone can increase income but not necessarily increase net worth. I have some friends that I grew up with that are prime examples.

The children out of wedlock and single parent homes seems (haven't researched it) like a product of decisions made before or during the education and career starting process and not necessarily a product of a financial situation. And even could be factored in to a stalled education or career path that prevents even more income increase.

Why don't more minorities vote republican?

Because the Republicans are constantly demonized as the party of hate and racism? You know as well as I do the great masses won't look any further than what they see on CNN or investigate malicious gossip.

Why aren't conservative people of color held up to the same examples as Democrats? Is Condi Rice not one of the greatest living examples of how a person can overcome so called racism? How about Mia Rice? Tim Scott? John James running in Michigan? What has Debbie Stabenow done for the minority population in Michigan that deserves her unconditional support from minorities?

I agree. There’s plenty of help for the minuscule amount of people who need help with ID’s. That’s what I’m saying. Obtaining a legal ID isn’t some hard thing that oppressed people.

I remembered that. I told you about going to a plant nursery in Riner on the river. I actually lived near Radford and worked around Roanoke, Salem, and Christiansburg.

Yeah, my memory sucks. I was just up there 2 weekends ago for a funeral whole area has changed.
