There won't be an official report on this. And there won't be media coverage. Happened this week and by his account, was not the first time. But, the eldest son of a black preacher friend of mine from Atlanta lives in Charleston. He was on a return trip from a business meeting in North Carolina. This is a very upstanding young man. He was going down the interstate, not even speeding. He was under the speed limit. Never left his lane. Never crossed a line. Passed a state patrol. Soon the blue lights were behind him to pull him over. The state patrols explanation when asked why he was stopped since he was not speeding...the young man was drifting "within" his lane and could have been drunk. Never swerved, crossed the lane lines or anything but was profiled for slightly drifting in his lane. I pulled up to a 4-way stop and didn't come to a complete stop until half way through the intersection at 11:00 at night right in front of a sheriff and didn't get pulled over.

How fast was he going? 65-70?
