Agreed. He was a head coach at the highest level possible, sounds like it was a bad situation with the owner that he should be glad to be out of, and he likely would’ve landed a head job again because he made the most on the field out of a bad situation. Something there’s only 32 of in the entire world.

I'm not a Whoopi fan but I hate this cancel culture stuff:

"Effective immediately, I am suspending Whoopi Goldberg for two weeks for her wrong and hurtful comments," ABC News president Kim Godwin said in a statement Tuesday evening. "While Whoopi has apologized, I've asked her to take time to reflect and learn about the impact of her comments."

It's virtual signaling BS. She doesn't need to be suspended to do this "reflection". And I doubt if she really believes what she said 2 weeks off is going to change her values. If it was a true mistake then 2 weeks aren't necessary.

Or it could be a windfall and quick settlement out of court. The NFL is in a difficult position here, along with these teams. This could get sideways for the league very quick.

Expect an announcement in conjunction with these teams. A league wide initiative will follow along with a step plan to target a percentage of minority coaches by a not too distant target date (5 years or so) and steep fines for those who don't get on board.

Then there will be an undisclosed settlement and this guy will buy a private island in the Caribbean and retire.
