Nah. Maybe subconsciously on some level but they had been talking and jostling back and forth the whole game. (Not saying that justifies the dirty play, just saying I think it was competitive juices and ****-talking escalating too far)

It wasn't super hard nor a basketball play. Flagrant foul was the right call and had it been called this would be a non issue. They corrected it and got it right.

At this point the league has what many perceive to be a problem, they are damned if they do, damned if they don't. But I don't see it as a problem, it's actually working to their benefit IMO. There is some major animosity brewing and people are invested in it, Clark talks trash apparently, and there was already animosity for her among many players in the league.

If she can continue to develop her game to continue to earn the animosity there could be some really good rivalries brewing over the next decade that could really elevate the visibility and reputation of the women's game.
