Now, if you want to argue there's been cooption by more fringe groups that's probably fair. That's also why I made of point of adding emphasis earlier to assigning overtly negative connotations by default. Cooption of X (whatever that might be) is nothing new across the spectrum. I've always found it pretty irksome when the fringe, whoever they are, drags something down with them.

As essentially an aside my biggest problem with the actual flag is I'm not a huge fan of jiggering around with the US flag just to suit a specific group regardless of affiliation. I mean, I get it, but I'd prefer you (whoever you are) come up with your own original design.
