The 2008 Big Boy Predictions NFL Style

lions and texans really are the only ones there...lions maybe when sanders was still there, and the texans will probably get their first "go to the postseason hype" next year. The browns really should fit into this category too, but they got that hype at the beginning of this season

The cardinals, well just look at this year.

The bills, look at the first half of this season and then they went to 4 super bowls (lost all of them) in the early 90s and made it to the playoffs at the end of the 90s

The saints were thought to be the best in the nfc a few times now and made it to that nfc championship a while back.

And oakland, they were great in the early part of 2000 till a year or two after gruden, lost to baltimore in the conference championship many thought they would win and then made it to the super bowl.

Not all teams become world beaters regularly but they do alternate on and off between who makes the post season, wins the division, wins the super bowl, etc. in the modern salary cap era. Even look at the colts and the pats - those teams were terrible all through the 90s and didnt become the top dogs till around 01-02

How is baseball not the same? What teams haven't made the baseball postseason the past 28 years? The Nationals/Expos, Rangers, Royals and who else? Also just because you are one of 12 teams in the playoffs does not mean you are Super Bowl contender.

The lions get a lot of talk every year. That doesn't make them good. Even the Royals and Pirates make small runs from time to time, that doesn't make them good. Neither do a few wins from the Bills and Saints. They suck, bottom line.

And acting as if the Cardinals winning thw worst division in the history of pro football is an indication that they are good is so funny that I have no actual response.

Looking back on this thread, I don't see how anyone who is a Titans fan could consider the season anything other than a huge success, even if they lose the first playoff game.

1. The Jets win 8 games at the most
2. The Redskins hang on and do take a wild card spot, finishing second in the NFC East
3. Dallas finally wins a first round playoff game, but loses in the second round
4. Packers earn wild card behind Minnesota in the North
5. San Diego comes crashing back down to earth. Hard
6. New Orleans makes the playoffs.
7. Pittsburgh will be really really good

I guess you could give me #5, but they made the playoffs so I'm not giving it to myself.

However, if you can only get one thing right, make sure it's the most important...
