How can you say the "threat" worries you more when he has two more homers to show for it?

How do runners score? They get on base. With the big boppers already in the lineup, a guy like that works.

You can say what you want, and I understand the stats back you and california man, up but I still would prefer Polanco in that lineup than Feliz. Call me crazy, I really don't give a ****. Oppo bloops off Polanco's bat don't worry me, sorry phillie fans.

I like how that entire post is wrong, considering I'm no more Cali than Tennessee whiskey.

Hell, in Memphis you're more West Coast than I am.

Oh and Polanco's slugging: .396 last year, Feliz? .386

Yep, ALLlll those bloopers Polanco had I guess overshadowed the fact that Feliz couldn't even ge his bat on the ball, on par with the rest of his career. (Nevermind that PP had 31 vs 30 2b and 4 vs 2 3b).

Polanco's career average ISOP: .111
Feliz' career average ISOP: .169

Feliz' ISOP last year, his worst year in his career, would have still been good enough for Polanco's 3rd best season.

Not saying I agree with TBrown, cause I would rather face Feliz than Polanco, but he does have a point.

If that's a Memphis-Compton joke, then yeah maybe. Otherwise, Memphis is nothing like anything "West Coast."

In a drunken haze, UTLCA triggers UCLA or something California-related. Didn't mean to offend you. Anyways, using the worst season of Feliz's career to back you up isn't helping the argument. I don't even think stats can factor into this conversation because I said I'd rather Polanco be up than Feliz. That's just a gut feeling, statistically justified or not.

I just think it's completely different types of players. If they are both playing well, Polanco is a 2 hitter that can do a job and keep an inning going and be on base for Howard, etc.

Feliz, if he hits? is more like a 5 or 6 hitter. I don't think they are similar.

They have two different approaches to batting and i believe Polanco's is more effective. That's all.

Haha, just saying that you're farther west than I've ever lived.

^^^ I'll take it. I might go Phils, Marlins, Braves Nats Mets... can't decide between those two, might just be blinded by the overall below average-ness of melky cabrera

I think they'll finish 4th, but could not decide who would get 5th. With Beltran hurting, Reyes recovering, Johan declining, and no power in that park, they seemed to be the choice.

Oh yeah, and one of the worst front offices ever assembled in the history of time.

I'm not buying the Marlins finishing in the top half of the division again. They did nothing in the offseason to improve whatsoever.

I still think they have a legit shot to finish ahead of the Braves.

The nationals also have a pretty solid lineup top to bottom, and i guess i'd call it "reinforcements" in the bullpen and staff to be honest.

You'll get skewered for that.

I made a bet that the Nats would take 7 of 19 from the Braves. I feel confident.

I didn't mean Nationals ahead of the braves, for the record... That first part was in response to the Marlins comment.

correction: I still think the Marlins have a legit shot to finish ahead of the braves for sure.

Nationals? heck i'll take it.

So much on this prospect as he may represent the next coming of superstars in baseball, with his potential of being a five-tool impact player. Another prospect not far behind is 1B Freddie Freeman.

The Braves way is to go take 2 outta 3 at Philly then come home and get swept by the Nationals. Kills me.

Ranked first or second on all prospect lists, and if he is second, it's to some Heyward guy. Incredible movement, incredible stuff... incredible expectations. I'm giddy with excitement, and get to see his debut March 9th
