I thought Manny might call it a career after this season.

I don't know, I heard he might play hard this year in an attempt to land another 2 year contract somewhere. He already said he wouldn't resign with the Dodgers. That's fine with me since he wasn't the same player after failing the steriod test. I did land him on my fantasy team due to auto draft so I hope he puts up good numbers.

Man, I wish I knew you played fantasy baseball before I filled up my leagues.

I have Matt Kemp in two of my fantasy teams. He delivers numbers across the board.

Kemp is my favorite baseball player. He was the only guy I bumped up on the draft list but I still didn't get him. I'm playing on cbssports but I forgot about the draft and my team was auto drafted. I think everyone in our group did the same thing. All the teams are fairly even for a 10 team league.

Where was Kemp ranked? I had him #2 in my books. He was ranked in the TOP 10 overall. He was I believe the sixth best player overall.

I just checked and he is the 9th rated outfielder, not sure what his overall rating is. I got A-Rod so he was probably the top pick made for me by the auto draft.

I got

A-Rod
Joey Votto
Aaron Hill
Jorge Posada
Rafael Furcal
Brad Hawpe
Manny
Nick Swisher
Raul Ibanez
Lance Berkman -injured
Vlad Guerrero -reserve
Griffey Jr. - reserve ( I picked Griffey up as free agent, as a risk because I read he was in the best shape in spring training that he had been in years)

I got Verlander, Johan Santana, Cliff Lee, Rich Harden, John Danks, Ryan Madson, Joba Chamberlain for pitching.

My team will either be really good or really bad because of players with history of injuries.

If some of the guys like Vlad and Griffey bunce back at all this year I could be in good shape.

I had him #3 overall, #2 overall NL outfielder, and #1 centerfielder. Fourth best NL player according to USAToday Sports Weekly and was picked fifth in a 12 team mock draft from the same source.

Be on the lookout for DITRs. Keep an eye on transaction trends which I get through Yahoo!.

There is room for improvement though.

We just go head to head so I can drop someone pretty quickly if they disappoint. I'm dead last right now on the waiver wire picking order.

sucks. You have a way to put players on watch via a watch list?

Yes, you can put them on your "scout" team and watch them. I just dropped Griffey and Vlad. I picked up Juan Pierre. I think he will have a ton of steals with the White Sox this season.

I would have kept Vlad in some capacity since he is going to a hitter friendly park.

It's between Vlad and Juan Pierre. I can get him back if no one claims him off waivers in front of me. My thinking was that Vlad's numbers have dropped, he's been injured a lot and Pierre has made the lineup in Chicago with manager Ozzie Guillen allowing him to run. He hit over .300 in LA but got ran out due to a crowded outfield (though I would have kept him). I picked up Miguel Tajeda too when I dropped Griffey and he is batting 4th in Baltimore so I want to keep him.

I put too much thought in this fantasy stuff. I should just play and not worry so much about my lineup. I guess that's what makes it fun though.

I did predict a Vlad drop a season or two ago.

Tejada is going to be valuable because he will be a multipositional player.

-The Dodgers mustered a come back but fell short. Have to question about Torre's decision of starting Padilla instead of Billingsley or even Kershaw.

-Lincecum proves once again why he is among the elite pitchers in baseball as he threw seven shutout innings.

-Dan Haren started great again but it is the finish that has made him notorious. Mark Reynolds homered but will he continue his display as experts point out there is no way that he will continue this.

-Heavily hopeful Kyle Blanks homered today in a loss.

-The Rockies showed they may live up to expectations they are here to stay. Jimenez got the win pitching six innings of one run ball and Ian Stewart maybe coming around as he will now be an everyday player after sharing time with Garrett Atkins.

The Dodgers are in trouble this year and it starts with the owners. Their money is pretty much frozen while they go through the divorce and by the time Jamie McCourt gets half of Frank's money, he won't be able to afford the team.

There's no reason why a team in the second largest market should have an owner that can't afford to run the team. I would take Mark Cuban in a heartbeat over the McCourts.

Do they have any potential buyers?

I understand typos, but how does a major league team let a guy onto the field with the city misspelled?

Who is this new SS for the Giants? Surely to goodness it isn't Renteria...I wonder how long he'll stay hot...

Thanks largely to the Pirates, the DBacks set a club record for the most runs in an inning (13 in the 4th inning on 4-11)
