The 2016 Summer Olympics - Rio

Y'all see the 41 year old gymnast? That's so cool.

First competed at barca in 1992. I imagine half of these Olympians only remember watching the 2004 games.

Yeah, she's been competing since i was 4 lol. Whoever this female commentator is said she competed with her dad before she was even born.

I'm not sure if Justin Gatlin is capable of beating Usain Bolt; it might just not possible for him physically.

In tonight's race: as large a lead as Gatlin was able to get, it wasn't enough to prevent Usain from closing it entirely in the last 50 meters (Bolt even got a bad start).

He beat him recently. Gatlin is great, but Bolt is so good he has to have a bad race and Gatlin has to have his best race....Gatlin had a great race, but Bolt had a good one and that was good enough.

Seriously, though....they are both the first men to win 3 medals in the 100m. Gatlin did it over 12 years and missed out on his prime. IDC what else he did, he's ****ing amazing.

If people can't find even the slightest bit of respect for his comeback, then they are probably perfect people with lots of amazing accomplishments.

I think the false start rule is a bit extreme. These athletes have trained out of the limelight for years and all their hard work can be dashed with one false start. It's not like they're getting away w anything. Just line back up

I thought they got a warning before ejection. Sucked to be him.

Been really disappointed with the U.S. track team so for.

Simon Biles & Aly Raisman go Gold/Silver on Floor to wrap up gymnastics and Aly says she may think about coming back in 2020 she would be (26).

Team USA now has (28) medals across the board for (84) total medals.
China & Great Britain are tied with (50) medals each.

The rule helps ensure the person with the best reaction wins. It's part of what makes the sport what it is. If you could get away with one, we'd see way too many

Maybe it's better suited for the Politics board, but I think the case of Caster Semenya (an intersex woman with a pair of testes, no womb, and a testosterone level that puts her in the lower range of the world's male population) who happens to be running the Women's 800 meter tonight is a fascinating issue of competitive fairness.

Indeed it is. Women shouldn't have balls, imo.

I hope she wins...for the chaos
