US now leads with 9 Gold medals and leads all countries with a total of 26 Medals.

That's a pretty stupid statement. Most Olympic athletes don't give a crap about the US as a country, and the supposed people that hate us aren't even shown on TV. GTFO with that jingoism BS.

I'm not sure how you can speak as to what most Olympic athletes think. And maybe he wasn't even referring to the athletes.

Even if you're corect in your assumption, you said "most," which still leaves the remainder, of which he might be referring.

I wasn't necessarily thinking about the athletes in particular I was more thinking about Putin being mad that his athletes got caught cheating and they still lost. Also the face that a lot of countries view Americans as arrogant(which may or may not be valid) I personally have talked to some people I know from different nationalities that say they don'w watch the Olympics because they don't like the fact that the Americans win so much.

As for the athletes I know most of them don't care about where someone is from they are just proud to be there representing their country

Travis Stephens fighting for our first Judo Medal! If he wins he wins GOLD! Takes home silver no matter what! Dude is a champ beating the Turkish man who has been #1 in the world for a while.

I hope Lochte and Phelps take 1-2 in the 200 IM!

And it wasn't his best race by any means. He had poorly timed touches on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th walls, especially the turn right before his last 50 and his final touch. Those were really slow and almost cost him. Nevertheless, another gold for Phelps.

He got silver but man was he dominant in the quarter and semifinals. Especially since he won by pin(almost impossible in the Olympics for judo)

France and Serbia just played a helluva basketball game... France has Tony Parker and Boris Diaw and they overcame a 75-70 deficit with 1:30 left in the game to win 76-75. Great finish. You will see some exciting and competitive bball games in the Olympics as long as they don't involve the US. LOL!
