Tennessee if it were to give butch jones the boot in 2015 would give him a going away gift of $6,000,000. $1,000,000 than dooley got. thought this is interesting. how stupid can we be to even think of giving that kind of money away if he were to fail???

quotes don't mean nothing. it's all cheers and rah rah rah. he has to prove it by going a minimum of 7-6 this year or no one will believe what he says.

How much do you think Sabans Buyout is?

The better the coach=the more buyout.

Coaches arent going to sign contracts without a buyout.

yeah, but $6,000,000? heck phil got that, and he helped us get 2 sec titles and a national title.

Any coach that came to Tenn is going to command a large buyout. We're a mess right now. We're coming up on our 4th different head coach in 6 seasons.

This should be no surprise.

What is your agenda dude.

Your Gillespe thread not going the way you thought it would so you decided to try a new approach?

Seriously.....as asked in the other thread.....wtf?

Ok you're approaching "screw you" territory with your attempts to kick a hornets nest where one doesn't exist.

i have no agenda you people are trying to make it one, i just posted the article and what was said in it because i thought it's stupid to pay that kind of money to a coach if he fails. we have enough money problems at Tennessee but i guess some of you can't see that.

i don't like gillespie and never will. so that can't be fixed. unless he turns our running backs into travis henry and travis stephens type players. which will not happen. and besides he's an ex gator using us to get back to florida more than likely cause he ain't promised us nothing.

Muschump offered him a job at UF when he first got there IIRC...so I don't think he's using us to get back to UF.

Can we take up a collection and enroll this one in a community college english class? That second post is seriously one of the hardest things I've ever tried to read with a straight face.

Using us to get back to fla? He turned down a job offer from Muschamp 2 years ago right after going to W Va. Don't see the logic.

First post shows how little you really understand the business side of things, but you are probably right. You may be the only person on VN that actually sees what is going on.

Second post. Well. That post speaks for itself. I don't really need to comment on that one do I?

So let me get this right. You don't like Gillespie so in your mind he sucks ?
Because you don't like him does not mean he will fail. Now you and your imaginary WV fan can run along now.

The difference is that alabama hired a proven sec winner and didnt mess around with bs hires. Round 3 for UT this season. Third times a charm?
