Only had to read this one once too. :good!:

This thread is dumb as hell and very few posters on on here actually understand irony and sarcasm.

That simplify it for you?

"Only had to read this one once too" would indicate the reader (me) read it once and understood the meaning. Then responded with sarcasm in like.

That simplify it for you?

Dude, you misunderstood baldbiker. He's giving you props. Saying your post was well written in comparison to some of these other guys illiterate posts (re: govols105). Or did I misunderstand you here ?

Maybe his and my sarcasm meters aren't claibrated with each other. I thought his post was very well written, and funny too.

Yeah, my tone with that last statement to you was a bit harsh and quite unintended.

Could have been worded better.

Sorry.

I take absolutely nothing seriously on here, including my handle.

Think it's hilarious how many people got worked up pro and anti Gruden.

Just like the OP is anti Jones and talking buyout before he coaches a game for the Vols.

i never said i was anti-jones. all i have been saying is show it on the field and shut up with the rah rah rah crap. i also just stated what the article said. i didn't say i wanted him to fail, never have. i want us to win 9 of the next 10 national titles.

Jones will not receive $6 million from the University of Tennessee if we fire him. He has the same clause that Dave Hart has been giving the assistant coaches. If we fire Butch Jones, he has to search for another job. Once he gets one, we only have to pay the difference in his salary. Dooley did not have that clause. I know this still can leave us owing a good bit but at min it would reduce the buyout by $2-3 million. If Butch does not seek another job, we can stop paying him by law (this would bar on us showing legal evidence that he wasn't).

This deal is about the best we could get.

"Who negotiated this crappy deal?" - Mike Hamilton, Juba, South Sudan.

How many games has he been able to "show it on the field" yet?

Shut up with the buy out crap and let him coach.

Tennessee if it were to give butch jones the boot in 2015 would give him a going away gift of $6,000,000. $1,000,000 than dooley got. thought this is interesting. how stupid can we be to even think of giving that kind of money away if he were to fail???

Proper nouns start with capital letters. "thought this is interesting" is not a senctence. Once again sentences start with capital letters, and no need for 3 question marks at the end of a sentence.:eek:k:

All I know is that we are probably going to have to ride the Jones Express out no matter what happens. Our athletic department is a mess financially and I just can't see how adding another buy out and a whole new set of coaches + salaries would be even remotely feasible.

All this is gonna be a moot point (not mute point govols105) when our boy CBJ turns the mutha around! 😀

Let's hope Butch is the guy. He is not the coach I wanted but he is who is in the chair. I am tired of the whole coaching carousel at UT.

i don't like gillespie and never will. so that can't be fixed. unless he turns our running backs into travis henry and travis stephens type players. which will not happen. and besides he's an ex gator using us to get back to florida more than likely cause he ain't promised us nothing.

GoVols105 must be the by-product of two cousins that became intimate.

That's a great idea....and I'm pretty sure he would take the demotion and the paycut and be quite happy ....:loco::no:

It goes back to a point made in another thread:

Program Instability (rebuild) + recent history of firing coaches before the end of their contract = Large Buyout
