The 93rd PGA Championship

US Open didn't allow them this year. I nearly got strip searched at the Ryder Cup in Louisville.
The Masters is still that way too. The Heritage was completely different though. As long as it didn't ring out loud, they didn't care.

Of all the tour events I've been to, it's easily my favorite.

If you haven't stayed at Palmetto Bluff yet...you have to try it out. I was very impressed. Of course these days when i go home I hardly even go to HHI anymore. We play golf and eat in Bluffton most of the time.

4 shot lead and then Josh Beckett decides to plunk one in the water.

Dude has some serious guts.

Not sticking around for the trophy presentation?

Nope. Already on 75 North. We followed Phil in and bounced. I don't care about anybody else.

And yes, you can take cell phones in now. They had certain areas set up that you were supposed to use them in, but people had them out everywhere.

The marshals weren't really even getting after people either. It was basically a free for all taking pics too.

Great finish . . . but I've never been so sure that the ratings for a major championship were going to be in the toilet. The names at the top of the leaderboard made that feel like watching the end of the Greater Milwaukee Open.

Definitely didn't have the major feel.

Yeah. They need to figure something out. Its just dumb 260 with water and no bail out.

Roll back the ball a bit for the pros. Otherwise, most of the great courses are gonna be obsolete in the next 10 years. One of these bomber guys is gonna show up at Augusta one year with a hot putter and shoot 25 under, and that'll be the end of it.

I agree. All they've got to do is cool off the golf ball and make it spin a little more.

few more things:

15 and 16 are brutal. you don't appreciate the elevation until you walk down 15 and up 16. TV doesn't do it a but of justice. incredible.

Zack Johnson is hilarious. he was talking with the crowd all day.

the Bubba drive on 11 was the longest i'v ever seen anybody hit a golf ball. ever.
