The All things Lane Kiffin Car Accident Thread (merged)

Phyllis Robinson called authorities around 8:45 a.m. to report a Lexus had hit a wooden fence at her house, a little more than half a mile from Kiffin's home. A Knox County Sheriff's Office report doesn't specify the damages, and Robinson wouldn't talk about the wreck Thursday.

"I think it's unfortunate," she said. "I really just don't want to go into details. It's over and done with. He's not here anymore. I ended up satisfied, and that's all I want to say."

Does this mean she was paid off?

I guess he "satisfied" her in some way.

I mentioned this in another thread, but I thought I'd mention it here for all you lurkers...

From a GVXtra article that ran today...

This has it's own thread now... Merge at 11:00...

Can you say, "hush money"?

Maybe the insurance company just paid to have her fence fixed. Stop with the conspiracy theories about this particular accident. This came out last August. It wasn't a story then and it isn't a story now.

Then why won't she talk any more about it? The insurance company wants her to keep her mouth shut?

Sumrgurl, can you gve us a timeframe for the next update you might have on this situation, and can you tease us a little with some info from the conversation with EB?
How bout HH? She's apparenty lawyered up, which tells me there's something to hide, or at least protect??? Maybe???

Where’d you hear this?

Who cares? Let's just be glad that this train-wreck of a supposed "coach" is now gone and we can move on. No one should waste another ounce of energy on that clown.

The only energy I plan on expending toward Kitten is to root for every team that plays against USC from now until the day that that scum-sucking piece of filth is gone.

What in the world is she going to talk about when she only saw the car in her fence when she woke up at 8:45am in the morning hours after the accident occurred?

She is quoted as saying "I really don't want to go into details". From this, you can infer that there are more details. I don't know what they might be, but based on her statement, there is more to it than what she is on record as saying.

I could be mistaken, but I seem to recall that someone might have mentioned, "The Spice Rack" as being a possible location with some alleged involvement, whatever it may or may not be, whether true or not.

Does anyone have a better recollection as to whether or not this site has been mentioned in all of this?

I saw him at Spice Rack. He certainly had the hottest waitress at the joint, and she talked him up. Looked like nothing more than doing what any other waitress would do at that place. Anything more is just speculation unless somebody knows some girls who work there.

Let us know where that inference gets you.

This. We, as UT fans are nationally recognized as a bunch of knee-jerk reactionary Hilljacks (to borrow a term from hatvol...) and it's mess like this that does NOTHING to dissuade anyone from that point of view......Witness the complete meltdown among Vols students in the wake of Kiffins leaving... Witness the reaction to the whole Manning hypesman fiasco that led Chris Fowler to refer to us as Trailer Trash..... And the backlash from THAT.... We have to realize at some point that sometimes the best reaction is no reaction at all....

No. It means that Kiffin's insurance company paid for the damages like ANY other responsible, law abiding citizen's insurance company would do and the matter at that point was considered closed. Sounds like a LOT of Tennessee fans would do well to follow this lady's example and just let Kiffin be USC's problem now.....

You have a right to your opinion, and I have a right to mine. I would love to see Kiffin's face attached to a scandal.

Per Govols.com. How could you live somewhere for over a year without ever getting a valid license? His old man and wife didn't get theirs either.

It's obviously not what you're supposed to do, but I don't see it as a huge deal. It's just one of those things that you keep putting off after you move.
