The All things Lane Kiffin Car Accident Thread (merged)

And BTW, I spoke with TMZ today. They are officially off the story, because they have been following on my tail :) The exact phrase Ryan at TMZ Sports used was "you own the Kiffin story...keep us posted"

No offense to you, I really do hope you can bust Kiffin, but I take this to mean that TMZ doesn't think that there is a story here. One minute they are offering 10k for information, and now they are backing off.

Why else would the be giving up on it?

They were after the alleged hot tub pic. I am relatively sure that doesn't exist.

The only thing illegal that I have been able to uncover would be drunk driving on SEVERAL occasions. I have not been able to verify any police cover ups, but I do have eye witnesses to the drunk driving. The things I am finding out have more to do with character and ethics. It should come as no surprise that he has none. Could it be scandalous? Let's just say not at the Tiger Woods level...yet.

sumrgurl........will u marry me?:bow2:

I don't get why any of this matters. Are we going to give him a breathalyzer test a few months after the fact? All that might come of this is that he cheated on his wife, which, if he did, I doubt seriously that he cares. And, pictures would need to surface to even prove that.

Yes, because there were sooooo many pictures of Tiger Woods' affairs.

I'm late to the party on the no TN license issue, but: I don't see it as being that big of a deal that they didn't get them. And trust me, I want X to go down as much as the rest of you.

welcome to the nation 16th street vol

Thanks so much. Great to be here. I'd been a long time lurker until I joined up in Dec. 2008 to jump on the train. My user name at that time contained the letters k-i-f-f-i-n. So I had to change it (and yes, I now realize the mods could have changed it for me). I like the new name better, anyway. A shout out to the good old days ... 16th and Highland, baby! Ah the memories and things that went down at the four-way stop. God bless Fort Sanders!

hahaha....I used to live in those $hitty apartments with the blue doors and rails on the corner of 16th and Highland when I was at UT. Nothing could compare to living in the Fort.

I can't believe no one is commenting on Tenacious D being called out for posing as a USC fan, just to start an argument with himself...
Watching dual personalities go at it is amusing in the gotta see the car accident kind of way (no pun intended). You don't really acknowledge it, but can't turn away to save yourself.

Why is this thread still in the top? Did Volnation not hear about a person contacting TMZ and they reported that TMZ stated that they were not in Knoxville and were not covering this story? We need to be focusing on Orgeron contacting our EE's. I believe we have a case in that matter. Until I see circumstantial evidence, I'm over this thread.

Apparently you have not noticed that several things HAVE already been confirmed as a result of this thread, so it will keep going.... until the truth comes out (sounds like a pop song right now)..... Amber, for the last freakin time, TMZ is here, has been here all week, not rumor, confirmed, by actual people being investigated in this fiasco. Real, Not Fake.

No. It means that Kiffin's insurance company paid for the damages like ANY other responsible, law abiding citizen's insurance company would do and the matter at that point was considered closed. Sounds like a LOT of Tennessee fans would do well to follow this lady's example and just let Kiffin be USC's problem now.....
IF Kiffin filed a claim, alleging he wrecked his vehicle as a result of falling asleep at the wheel, left the scene, and then accepted the damages as he reported them, how is that not insurance fraud if something more happened? And howdoes the guy still have insurance, with this many "Known" wrecks?????
Insurance fraud is serious business...

I guess said another way,
we're not going to see Harvey Levin propped against a cubicle bantering about Kiffin's problems, on his show
