The Andrew Wiggins Sweepstakes

Don't forget the handgun and ammo. He keeps it realz.

Yeah realz dumb. I wonder why the gun stuff didn't come out until today. Not many good things going on Holloway St. in Durham after dark or anytime for that matter. The gun possession changes every thing for PJ now.

Sucks for us. If all this is true (I haven't researched too much into it yet), then it will be interesting to see if he's capable of recovering. I'd imagine his time here at UNC is probably nearly done, but I just wonder what effects this might have on his NBA hopes. Not to sound like a homer, but with a good year (which he seemed poised for), he might could have gone top 10 or 15 in 2014 draft.

Yeah I agree he lost some money for sure. It wasn't the weed but how he got caught and now the gun stuff. I know one of the guys he was with and I'm surprised that these guys made such terrible choices. It will be interesting to see what the final result will be for this. If he's done in Chapel Hill you guys are taking a huge hit. I always want to beat UNC, but not like this.

I've read some into it, and there just doesn't appear to be enough public information at the moment to make too many assumptions. The biggest issue will be who was in possession of the weapon, and possibly even why a rental car? Given the Will Graves situation, as well as others like our own in Tyler Smith, it's difficult for me to say with confidence at the moment that he will be back, but we'll let it play out in court first.

On another note, thanks for being a noble fan. There are those who just want to win at all costs, and there are those who abide by a nobler calling, when a win simply just isn't a win if gained under certain circumstances. I feel the same way. I only want to beat Duke when they're at full strength. Nothing else is satisfying, provided UNC isn't lacking a key player or two as well (a la 2005 Duke at UNC). Not UNC/Duke, but one of the hardest things I ever had to watch was that 2012 Regional Final vs. Kansas. Down McDonald, Strickland, and Marshall, with a 70 or 80% Henson and a freshman walk-on running point. We may have lost the game anyhow, but it felt like there wasn't any chance from the get-go, although UNC did make it a good game until the final 5-10 minutes.

I appreciate you saying that. I've enjoyed this rivalry almost my entire life. IMO there is nothing like it. It takes me 5 minutes to get to Duke and 20 to Chapel Hill. I have attended more Duke/UNC bball games at Cameron and the Smith Center than I have total UT football games in my life. I have a lot of friends who went to UNC, and we have a healthy respect for the other and try to keep it civil. As much as I grew up loving Duke and seeing great basketball games, UT athletics and football in particular are now my first love when it comes to all things sports. That became the case when I attended my first game at Neyland in November of 99 versus Notre Dame. After that I was done. Since then I've been an insufferable UT/SEC football snob to my local Triangle friends who do not fully grasp the idea of what real football Saturday's actually are.
