Everyone, watch and admire:
Zlatan Ibrahimovic 4th Super Amazing goal Sweeden vs England 4-2 - YouTube
The Adebayor sending off wasn't even close to questionable, he deserved every bit of it. That ought to reflect on the result. If it wound up a bit tighter, maybe, but four goals and an extra to add insult to injury says it probably wouldn't have mattered one way or the other. The result is all that matters in the end but without the red I don't think there's anyway that game is close to the same outcome. For the first 20 minutes or so the Gunners were completely on their heels.

I think you're right.. The only thing that changed in your team was losing 1 striker; so the defense didn't have to change up. I just don't think AVB is the right guy. His teams always let goals flow through.
I don't know what to make of his time so far at Spurs. Last year he got too caught up in trying to phase out the old guard at Chelsea and get the new guys on the pitch, but in the end just ended up putting a second rate squad out there a lot. This year he's playing the best players, they just aren't getting the results.
As a side note, do any of you guys think West Brom has any real staying power this year? I know they're unlikely to qualify for CL, but even getting into Europa League would be a monumental achievement for that club. Regardless, being 12 games in and still within 5 points of the top of the table is pretty unbelievable for a club like that.
His problem is that he made bad choices.. Adebayor was a terrible purchase, and he didn't do enough to replace Modric. Dempsey isn't good enough to make a team top 4 quality, Dembele isn't even close, and Gylfi is rotting away. Maybe things will change though.
Last year Newcastle were in the top 3 until Christmas and had a dramatic fallout shortly after that. I expect the same thing or worse from West Brom. They have done well, but will drop major points soon. Same thing with Everton but probably not as bad. Everton will finish 7th or 8th and West Brom will finish 10th.
They just haven't spent the money to compete. The middle table is cluttered, but it's where Liverpool is and where they will finish.
Newcastle finished 5th last year, and had a real shot at finishing top 4 with two or three games to go. They still would have missed out on CL because of Chelsea taking the final spot by winning the whole tournament. West Brom fans would probably be ecstatic with that sort of result this season. I just don't see any way they finish in a Europa League spot though. Too many teams with too many good players and too much money to spend in the upcoming transfer window. Arsenal, Spurs, Everton, Liverpool and Newcastle are all currently trailing them. There's no chance they hold on through May IMO.
