Two questions? How freaking good I Dortmund, and how bad is City?

Dortmund's performance today was one of the best I've seen in about a year.

Wasn't pretty, but a win is a win on the road in qualifying. Just need a tie Tuesday against Guatemala.

Eddie Johnson came up huge in his return. Don't they have to win to advance? damn is even.

edit: Just checked again. Everything is even, Goals scored, Goals Allowed. Pretty sure they'll have to win against Guatemala.

The top 2 teams from the group advance to the next stage. Since Jamaica is 3 points behind, a draw would see both the US and Guatemala through. I wouldn't be surprised if we see two sides playing for a draw on Tuesday night. Even with a loss, the US would still advance unless Jamaica beats A&B by 3+ goals.

I try and be good about it, if Messi has a subpar game, I'll admit it, if the refs are being partial to Barça, I'll admit it. I'm open to the idea that CR7 could prove to be a better footballer than Messi when all is said and done. But I have a high level of admiration for the club, the way its run and owned, and for Catalan culture and history. Always have.
