How would you not want to see Dortmund in the semis? Back line is the weak point, and BVB has the weakest attack of the remaining teams.

Their attack can be pretty potent when Reus, Lewandowski and Gotze are on their games. Thankfully, they've had some difficulty putting it together this year.

Still, after Barca who would probably beat us at our own game, I would least like to face Dortmund because they seem to have had our number.

Only when BVB is at their absolute best would I categorize their attack in the same league as Barça, Madrid and Munich.

Barça v. Dortmund and Munich v. Madrid would be my ideal semifinal.

I would love to see Bayern-Barcelona just to watch the beautiful football. Would be interested to see how Bayern play against us tactically. You know what Barcelona will do. Interested to see how Bayern adapts without having the majority of possession.

That would be my ideal semi, too. Barca-Madrid, Bayern-Dortmund see enough of each other. Of Barca and Madrid, I would rather see Madrid. Bayern has a good history against Madrid (they don't call us La Bestia Negra for nothing) and I know from recent history that we can play with and beat them.

Barca-Bayern would be very interesting, since both styles of football are very similar. Agreeing with you, VolBall, that Bayern would need to change up their tactics since they probably won't outdo Barca at their own game. I think they approach the game much like they did the first Arsenal leg, absorb and counter. Robben would need to be sat down and told not to kill our counters with his dribbling displays.

It would be a great match, but I have to give it up to Bayern. They look absolutely flawless right now. I think they can beat any side in Europe at any venue. If Robben doesn't play, they can execute the same game plan that PSG did (which worked) but much better. Their long balls are accurate, Mandzukic is in crazy good form and they can put four-five guys up front all with good pace.

No Mandzukic for first leg though. Bayern doesn't match up well with Barca. You beat Barcelona by having an awesome, lightning quick counter. Madrid has that. PSG has that. That isn't Bayern's game.

It's not their preferred mode because they can play possession well enough to beat most sides, but they can field a squad with enough pace to mount an effective counter. I might be persuaded to your view of Madrid being the last time I'd want to see, but I don't see anybody other than Dortmund as being easily the most favorable draw.

Unfortunately Kroos' injury means Robben will be playing. It's possible that Kroos could be back for the final but unlikely.

My guess is Gomez although I would much, much, much rather see Pizzarro out there. Gomez is so one-dimensional while Pizzarro is much like Mandzukic in that he's a good passer, moves well, and goes back to help play defense, plus he's clinical.

Well, we have our draws.

FC Bayern vs FC Barcelona
Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid

Not the most favorable draw for Bayern but we would likely have had to play Barca at some point anyway. We don't get to play Barca much so I'm pretty excited to see the matchup between our two sides. Two teams with similar philosophies in club development and we can now call it the Pep Bowl.

Well this is going to be a very interesting semifinals. I'm certainly excited to see us play Bayern. They are probably playing the best football in the world right now. I still believe our top gear is higher than anyone else's, but we haven't played that way very often the last several months.

Would have been cool if the two German sides and two Spanish sides had drawn each other in the semis. Oh well. I definitely like RM over BVB, but am not sure about the other. Barca kind of struggled in the last round and Bayern is going to be a whole different order of challenge than what PSG was. Any word on Messi's status VB?

I admittedly haven't seen Barca enough this year to make any kind of assessment. How is their fullback play? Since we are so wing oriented, I feel this will be a critical matchup. Also, are you guys running with a striker currently? Our central defense is going to be majorly tested. Dante is playing great for us. I am ok with him but van Buyten while playing well is not fleet of foot going against the likes of Messi and Iniesta. If you don't have a big aerial threat going forward I would like to see Gustavo back there as a physical ball hawk.

Do you guys have the league practically wrapped up?
