I feel like they'll find a way to qualify. Roy Hodgson seems to know what he's doing. I could be wrong, of course.

Tough call to make. They both still have a bout with Ukraine and Poland, but I feel like Montenegro has a slightly easier remainder of the table. It will probably come down to the draw on 11 Oct at Wembley.

The UEFA playoff should be unusually strong, with England, France, Portugal, Greece and Belgium/Croatia.

If I were forced to bet, I still think that England is going to win that group. Even without them, that's a pretty formidable lineup of runners-up, and I can almost bet that if the draw isn't seeded (or maybe even if it is) somebody is going to get screwed. The amount of quality teams in Europe is mind boggling.

Four of the runners up will qualify.

I know that. I was just saying that if they don't seed the draw, there is a decent chance that one of the better runners-up (Croatia/Belgium, England, or Greece) draws France for the play-in game. That would leave two of the lesser teams who probably don't deserve to get in facing off for a guaranteed spot. Ideally they would just match the teams up in order of how they've qualified (1 vs. 8, etc.) or do what they did in 2010 by having the top half in one pot and the bottom half in another. Both of those options are better than a random draw IMO. Apparently for the time being, UEFA is playing their cards close to the vest as to how the whole process will play out. It seems bizarre to me that the confederations have the option to just fly by the seat of their pants instead of having every step of qualification set in stone years in advance.

Hate we couldn't take care of Chelsea at Old Trafford. Chelsea continue their run of ten years unbeaten at Stamford Bridge in the FA Cup. That's okay. We will wrap the league up soon, hopefully.

Two good matches today. Juve scares the hell out of me. Hopefully we found our offense again with the nine goals we scored Saturday.

anybody watching the games? I only get the Bayern/Juv match. Wish I had both and could flip back and forth.

Juventus is lucky to be down only 1 at half. Bayern had quite a few chances. Ribery is a beast (but yall knew that). Wish we had a few Americans on his level to play on team USA

Bayern should be up 3-0. We've had plenty of chances but the same old problem is with us, not being able to finish.

Masch is out for six weeks. I like Tello more than Pedro but does the coaching staff trust him that much? I don't think so. Pedro has started every meaningful game this year.
