Earlier you stated that Bale was the most in-form player in the world last season, and now you are saying they would have a chance to make the CL with Bale giving 50% effort. If they couldn't beat out a weaker Arsenal squad last season with him being as good as you say; how could they ever top them this season? Wilshere is fully fit to start the season, not half way through, and they haven't even added to the squad yet. Plus, you have Poldi, Santi, and Giroud all playing their second season in the PL. Then, throw in the possibility of Suarez playing for Arsenal. Tottenham can go ahead and prepare for a battle for the EL because they don't have a chance at top 4.

They were in the race last year, and had they not choked over the final weeks would have finished top 4. What I meant with the 50% comment was that they clearly have a better shot at CL getting 50% of what they got from him last year than they do selling him and getting nothing. That's not to say his presence guarantees them qualification by any means. Without Bale, Spurs wouldn't have even been in the conversation about CL last year, nor will they be this year if they let him go.

Spurs haven't exactly been inactive in the transfer window. Caulker just got sold today which confuses me a little bit, but there have been numerous solid signings with a striker yet to come. Or maybe ade continues his career trend and has a nice season.

Bottom line with bale is that an official offer has yet to be made, and Real Madrid is pulling the strings of Marca per usual. Brits usually have a steely quality that you don't see in continental European players, so if bale doesn't go this season I don't see him pouting but as it stands, if he does go, I don't see much separating spurs from arsenal.

I'd like to see bale stay. If he does and plays well, I like spurs to edge gunners. If the offer from Madrid is true, they have to go for it. CR7 was pried from sir Alex for less.

Why can't Arsenal win with the players they have? I realize a big name striker would help but I believe they have a squad that can win this season. Depth is my biggest concern but with a little luck and the development of some more youngsters we can compete. GO GUNNERS

I'd like to see Gustavo go there. I wish he wasn't being pushed out at Bayern,

Because they are not Man U.

Man U are on a big upswing but it hasn't been that long ago that Arsenal was where Man U is After giving it some thought it has been a long time but the league is one that is so hard to stay on top and I do believe the noisy neighbors ( Man City ) might knock the red devils off their perch this year. As an Arsenal fan I am hoping for a Champions League bid

City will underachieve like usually, or atleast I hope. It's wierd not seeing Sir Alex leading the Reds. But Moyes is a great manager, I see no falling off.

Chelsea and Manchester City have gotten better. Manchester United has not.

I think it breaks down like this:

1. Manchester City
2. Chelsea
3. Manchester United
4. Tottenham

Yeah but the gap was huge last season. Not much separating the top 3. Arsenal and Tottenham will fight it out for the cl qualifying spot

I would be happy to get Gustavo but defense is probably our least need If we didn't have to give up too much he would be a great catch

Great that were getting all the matches, but I have a hard time seeing them getting much out of showing a crystal palace v Southampton game.

Unfortunately I don't get NBC Sports network. I was sick of paying a 175 cable bill so I dropped a lot of stations.

My wife made me drop the sports pack that housed this station and many others. Another reason to never get married.

In the end it's worth only paying $95 for cable and internet.

I would love Direct TV, but we have too many trees that block the reception.

Liverpool fans have to love the way the schedule starts out. Other than Man U at home, the first big, big test isn't until @ Arsenal on November 2nd. If we can find a way for Suarez to just "stfu" and play, I think we will be alright. Just need to find a way to get back to the CL.

I'm honestly torn there. I think Suarez is a brat, but he's also too good to not be in CL. Liverpool won't be contending for top four any time soon.
