As I am going to be doing Sports Journalism at Uni starting next month, I am forced to watch Soccer. Going to watch the Man U Chelsea game tonight...
Can any of you give me a quick low down on what to look for? Who's favourite, players to watch for and what this game means for the standings?
Would appreciate it. Thanks.
Don't sound so disappointed, you're super lucky to get to attend this game. Chelsea and Man U are probably the odds on favorites to win the EPL this year, and their rosters are a who's who of some of the best international football has to offer. Everyone on the pitch will be world class. As for what it means to the standings, not a whole lot in the grand scheme right now because it's only the second game for Man U and the third for Chelsea, but you can expect these two to be duking it out all year long for the top spot, so any points either team can collect could likely be critical come May.
Living in England, I trust you're familiar with the name Wayne Rooney. As I am going to be doing Sports Journalism at Uni starting next month, I am forced to watch Soccer. Going to watch the Man U Chelsea game tonight...

Arsenal. Big team, but could struggle a bit this year so you could endure a season of some hardships but will still compete all year and finish near the top.
Have some injury issues to overcome already. And like my above post, you can watch them this weekend in a good game at their home stadium and see what you think
Forgot to mention that Arsenal is the one team off limits. I had a former boss who's an Englishman and that's his team. Can't stand him. Who is Arsenal's big rival? That might be a good place to start.
